Which is part of the problem. The grasp of history and sense of entitlement that certain segments of the immigration movement has is quite disturbing. They think that from Texas across to the Pacific belong to them.

Illegals have no rights under our laws, well maybe stupid ass california does but that's another issue. They should have been deporting all those fvcks back to where they come from if they want to cause trouble on american soil.
Uhh, they do have rights under out laws.
They also have the responsibilty to obey the laws that exist.
They also have to expect the penalty of being an illegal (regardless of the :brokenheart: libbys)
I agree with this 100%
Every minute the illegal stays in the country they are knowingly committing a crime.
Walk into your neighbors garage because he left the door open and then stand there as long as you want .. pitch a tent there and then start using the resources he has stored there.. see if you get charged with a crime
Sneak across the border.. stay here.. buy a car with no insurance and drive around.. sign up for welfare or food assistance and low income housing .. etc.. go get medical care and never pay the bill >> what happens?

Well maybe it is time this wave of immigrants started to learn the language of the land...Italians, Greeks, Puero Ricans, Germans, Dutch, Russians, Chinese, Japanese, Korean...every other wave of immigrants to this country has managed to learn English and transition into our multi-cultural society without losing touch with their own respective traditions and cultural values...that we seek to accomodate and cater to the Latino immigrant wave is part of the problem. Also, it has been determined that one of the main reasons so many people did not disperse is because the only, ONLY warning to disperse was given in english from a helicopter to a crowd comprised mostly of spanish-speaking people, so even the people that could understand english had trouble hearing the warning.
True, but we should not let violence and intimidation prevent our society from enforcing its own laws...we have an immigration process in place...others have managed to follow it and join our American society. And before someone else points it out, yes, I do think if you want to live in this country you should learn the language, and the obvious conclusion is that a large number of the people that could not understand english are illegals who should have been rounded up and deported, but as I've pointed out many times, that would have resulted in a riot and a far greater number of casualties.

If we want to play the historical blame game, perhaps Hispanics should start with Spain, work their way up to Santa Ana, and then finally focus on their own corrupt and inept nations of origin, particularly Mexico. Then and only then can they bitch about Anglo-America's pursuit of Manifest Destiny...they should be happy we stopped with Texas and California, as we were very much in a position to easily conquer Mexico at one point.I seem to remember Anglos claiming manifest destiny for the entire continent. Now some Hispanics embrace the same idea and you panties are in a wad.
Hispanics are not the only immigrants to this country...I have no problem with immigrants...I am the grandson of immigrants, and I am certainly not Anglo...but I do have a problem with some Hispanics and their sense of entitlement.Once again the anti-immigration movement seems to deviate from its legitimate law and order roots into hatred of Hispanics.

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Investigators will review hundreds of hours of video of an immigration rally where police wielded batons and fired rubber bullets to disperse a crowd, the chief of police said Thursday.

Looks like there is an official investigation underway regarding the incident with LAPD and the protesters during the immigration march, I just hope it does not turn in to some unfounded witchhunt to appease the illegal immigrant/supporter masses.

Looks like a whole lot of officers that were involved in the protest incident are being taken off the streets.
LOS ANGELES ? Police Chief William Bratton said Sunday that up to 60 members of an elite squad that swarmed into a park and fired rubber bullets during a May Day immigration rally are no longer on the street.
The LAPD police chief has been blaming his officer?s right from the beginning instead defending his officer?s actions like a good leader. He should have waited until he had all the information surrounding the events and all investigations were concluded before condemning his police force. Now thanks to Bratton the investigations will be carried out like witch hunts, looking for scapegoats to hang instead of finding the truth. I think if there is any problem with the LAPD it is their leader.
One thing is for sure if I worked for the LAPD I would absolutely refuse to ever under any circumstances to work crowd control for any event. I would be damned if I am going to risk my job, be belittled by my boss and fine my self in law suits every time someone decides to throw rocks bottles, or otherwise threaten life and private property etc? and I dare to stop them.

They really had no choice but to disperse that protest before nightfall because they know when the sun goes down large crowds like that get real ugly real quick.
Here is a video taken later that evening, imagine a group100x the size, gang mentality aspect would have gotten way out of control.
Video
Also here I would have not felt sorry at all if these idiots waving the Mexican flag if they had gotten shot in the butt with rubber bullets.

I've seen the video. I've heard the "charges." What a complete joke. LAPD acted fine. Seriously, when LAPD in inappropiate... people die. I hate the cops, always have, always will, but in this case the police acted with self control and their actions were more than OK.
The Chief disagrees with you.
The Chief wants to keep his job.

So he will lie and sacrifice the careers of his officers, just like that, to do so?
You really want to make that allegation?
Based on what?

Huh? So you are saying the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles would insist the Chief of Police lie and sacrifice the careers of police officers rather than risk the ire of pro-immigration groups?
