KOTOR I

Possible spoiler here

I'm playing through KOTOR I for the first time in years and just finished up on Kashyyk... I'm playing through as a good jedi and the dialog between the Wookies after reinstating the old chief is pretty touching. Almost (almost not did) brought a tear to my eye.

I started playing KOTOR before WoW, but I stopped and haven't gotten back to it yet. Currently playing NWN1 in my spare time.

I played both 1 and 2 on xbox, and those games are amazing. They are so addictive, and the storylines are great as well.

KOTOR is a very good game. For some reason I could never finish the second, ive started it like 3 times.

Are there any mods for it?

I finally played KOTOR1 3 months ago. Great game and want to get KOTOR2 to finish it all up but will NOT be playing the MMORPG. I hate MMO's.

Good game, not as good as Baldurs Gate 2 or PlaneScape: Torment (Infinity engine games = win), but still very good. I look forward to the KotOR MMORPG, hope it is a success.

I will pick up KotOR II once the KotOR restoration project is finished.

KOTOR 2 is also very good. The ending really isn't that bad, it just seems weak because the rest of the game is so great.

Obsidian also did a better job on Dark Side options in KOTOR 2 than Bioware did in 1, so it feels like you have a ruthless hunger for power rather than being a psychotic yet petty bully.

lol i actually started playing it again this week for the first time in some years,
currently on the first planet Taris, great game indeed
i love the many responses or reactions you can select in the conversations, dialogue as a whole is very entertaining. This is the first single player game i ever revisited too. I was a light side extremist the first time around this time around i will be not too nice since no one can be that nice 😉

I traded for it here long ago, enjoyed it, never finished it before a format. Wound up trading it off, and later hungered to try again. When I decided to trade for it a second time I had a system with higher specs, but got bogged down in some areas that ran well on my old system for reasons I never sorted out. Brand new build now, so one of these days I'll go at it again!

Nice, I'm doing almost the exact opposite. I was full evil the first time through, this time I'm playing it as a good/naive character, there was a lot of stuff I missed the first time because I killed a whole bunch of people that gave me side quests and stuff lol

KOTOR is my second favorite game of all time, right behind Ocarina of Time 🙂

Man, earlier this year I bought an old console and Ocarina of Time just to see what it got the highest rating ever on pcrankings for, and it's practically unplayable.

I haven't got all that far into it, but maybe you can say something about why it's a good game to help. I can't even easily describe where I stopped playing, in a few tunnels.

Epic plot and fun gameplay. The game really picks up when you get off the first planet.

Thanks, was thinking about starting 2 again but will hold off for that too.

I believe he was talking about Ocarina...

In that case Craig, if it was the graphics that made it "practically unplayable" there is a hi-res mod you can run in an emulator that makes the game look better.

Yeah, it has framerate issues but I still managed.

Thank God I have the game for the Gamecube (Zelda Collector's pack)

I've been looking for a new game to play. I have a lot of time on my hands lately. I might pick this up. Are there any good mods for it that I should look into?

Kotor1 is second only to Starcraft as my 'Best game ever made'. Also Kotor2 was good also- just it had to live up to the best which it didn't but it was still very good.

I've been meaning to play the KOTOR series, but I'm not really familiar with Star Wars (haven't seen a single movie to completion 😛) Will the game still be entertaining?
