And if RossMAN's opinion wasn't taken seriously, I'll also step in here and repeat - "Kodak digicams suck." Actually, the DC-240 from 2-3 years ago was built like a tank and took some great shots. However, Kodak, one of the pioneers of photography attempted to take advantage of the common consumer. Kodak thought that people would buy their cameras - even though the quality stunk just because the camera was a KODAK! I have plenty of digital shots that were taken by a DX-3600 and then by my Canon. The Kodak shots ... well ... suck. Plain and simple, if you're going to spend $154.00 on a below-grade Kodak camera, please save another $45.00 and consider the Canon A40. Trust me on this one.Originally posted by: RossMAN

Well, unclebud, you haven't seen the crappy Kodak service that I had to go through a few years ago with my DC-240. Mine had some dead pixels on the LCD which were quite irritating. I only had the camera for a week and should have just returned it to where I purchased it. Instead, I had Kodak fix it. They had the camera for over 2 weeks and then finally returned it to me. When they packed the camera back up, they used the same box that I shipped it to them in. However, they failed to use any of the bubble wrap that I had used when I sent the camera to them. During the 300 mile trip back to my house via Airborne courier, the camera was moving around the box and all of the silver paint on the selector lever had completely worn off. I was so mad, because by now my 30-day window to return the camera to the retailer had expired. I called Kodak up and immediately talked to their management. Kodak bought the camera back from me.Originally posted by: unclebud

excellence is not only where one finds it -- it's where one CREATES it
