Well, as long as I'm purloining from elsewhere I might as well update that Buy.com has a Viking 128 meg SD card for this thing for $50 after a ten buck rebate and free shipping - making it $60 shipped which is pretty reasonable.

(Thanks, OP at "elsewhere"!)

You're right, it does, and I really MUST get better at reposting stuff from other sites, huh? :D What can I say.... It's five in the morning here after a lonnnnnnnnnnng night of online cruising for deals. Argh!

Sleep is for the weak and the dead! Oh, and those people who are probably male and did NOT get stuck cooking dinner tomorrow....errrr - today.... sigh. :p

Tempting, but the Mfg price is not that much higher than what Walmart offer...I think I'll wait for another offer

Still, nice reminder about it can be ordered online btw, I almost was ready to wait in line at for this camera IF I were to get it.
Save me some sleep!

thanks

This camera sucks since it has no zoom on it.

Id rather get the 3x optical zoom 2.1mp camera that fuji has for the same price.

well don't get it then. no one's forcing ANYONE to do so :)
i have 3 digicams with optical zoom (sold the fourth) and especially on a day like today was, i'll take picture quality over zoom ANYDAY.

So which is better, SD or MMC?

Is SD any faster at writing than the MMC.

So glad this popped up online. Now I can go to sears and get their 4 tires for a $100 deal.

I know that at least one store in my area is very shorthanded on this particular model and they are planning on substituting the 4330 for the 4300 at the same price. The 4330 has a 3x optical zoom and sells for almost $300 at Walmart. So that would be half price!!! Don't know if any other Wal-mart suffered that shortage, but if you could luck into one, that would be a great deal. Just thought I would let you all know so you can keep an eye out if your in Wal-mart tomorrow morning!

What about the Toshiba that CC is offering for $149? Ya, it's only 2mp but it has 3x optical zoom.

Ouch Rossman! I think the person a few posts up from yours will be chiming in soon about that comment ;)

And if RossMAN's opinion wasn't taken seriously, I'll also step in here and repeat - "Kodak digicams suck." Actually, the DC-240 from 2-3 years ago was built like a tank and took some great shots. However, Kodak, one of the pioneers of photography attempted to take advantage of the common consumer. Kodak thought that people would buy their cameras - even though the quality stunk just because the camera was a KODAK! I have plenty of digital shots that were taken by a DX-3600 and then by my Canon. The Kodak shots ... well ... suck. Plain and simple, if you're going to spend $154.00 on a below-grade Kodak camera, please save another $45.00 and consider the Canon A40. Trust me on this one. :)

Most Kodak/HP digicams suck.... this looks like another dirt cheap junk model.

It probably has a fixed focus lens and the 3MP won't even give quality like 2MP from other camera makers.

My suggestion is to get Fuji 2650 ($140 - $175) or Canon S330 ($300 - $325).

yeah yeah whatever. this is a PERFECT gift for gramma. most people don't even KNOW what an optical zoom is, and EVEN LESS will ACTUALLY USE IT.
right now, RIGHT NOW, present a deal that most people can get (walmart is EVERYWHERE, well anywhere that COUNTS to ME) that beats this $150
bad as the bike nerds...

Well, unclebud, you haven't seen the crappy Kodak service that I had to go through a few years ago with my DC-240. Mine had some dead pixels on the LCD which were quite irritating. I only had the camera for a week and should have just returned it to where I purchased it. Instead, I had Kodak fix it. They had the camera for over 2 weeks and then finally returned it to me. When they packed the camera back up, they used the same box that I shipped it to them in. However, they failed to use any of the bubble wrap that I had used when I sent the camera to them. During the 300 mile trip back to my house via Airborne courier, the camera was moving around the box and all of the silver paint on the selector lever had completely worn off. I was so mad, because by now my 30-day window to return the camera to the retailer had expired. I called Kodak up and immediately talked to their management. Kodak bought the camera back from me.

i got the fujifilm finepix 2650 today.

its pretty sweet, the new XD memory and all. came out $199 + bunch of bundled software and 16MB xd chip.

as for the toshiba at circuit city. i was going to buy that one, but then i noticed that it sucked because it had no lense cover. WTF? how can it not have a lense cover, almost all the other cameras have at least a cover to protect the lense! i asked the people there and they also told me there was no lense cover. and i wasnt about to buy one.

so, went to ritz and picked up a 2650.
