Why does the story sound far fetched? Bent over a chair and raped? lol.

I agree. We'll revisit this story when the other side comes out. I find this laughable so far. :D

You do know what a chair is right? Chairs can be 28x28x28 to 48x38x38, you know like a sofa, but 1/3-1/4 the size. We arent talking a desk chair, table chair, rocking chair but a CHAIR.

Ok... excuse me, may be my understanding of the english language is not up to par. When I hear chair, I think of chair. When I hear couch, I think of couch. I mean, this is not a "did you take his candy?" case, you're talking about a man's life and career. I think they would want to be a little more concise when it comes to describing the freaking evidence.

Granted that in his mind, Kobe might think that he has the "power" for such act, and if he did in fact raped her, then fry him. But this is America, land of oportunity, don't you watch TV and movies? Shiet man, just about every day you hear some rich and famous person is getting sued for raping/groping/sexually harassing, you name it, some one else. And the funny thing is, most of them were settle out of court for some fcuk up amount of money. Correct me if I'm wrong in my analysis, but don't you think that this is somehow motivated by a second agenda? This is the exact reason why you have people suing stores for tripping in the establishment, over their own kids.

. I'm glad that this country has a justice system, one that's probably the best compare to any where else, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have its flaws.

If you find grammatical errors in the preceded paragraph, sue me!

Hey, i'm actually a Kobe Fan. I think he is a GREAT basketball player, but the evidence is the evidence. you can't take the narrowest definition of a word and b1tch because the evidence doesn't fit into your little mold of what happened.

her testimony is that he raped her over a chair, at some point, either the prosecution will show us what that chair looked like or the defense will. at that point you can speculate whethor or not the chair was strong enough yadda yadda, but your original mockery of the testimony clearly shows where your bias is and that you are totally incapable of accepting the possibility that there is truth to the accusation.

Though the testimony was graphic, the most explosive statement came from Bryant?s own defense attorney when she suggested under cross examination that the woman?s injuries would also be ?consistent with a person who has had sex with three different men in three days.?

I still can't believe all this fvcking hype about Kobe.

Big freakin' deal. So he gets paid millions to be an NBA superstar. That's supposed to make him some sort of idol?

The guy's nothing more than a thug who deserves to spend MANY years behind bars if found guilty.

Question

If Kobe is found not-guilty, could he countersue for some sort of image bashing (forgot what the correct legal term was)? If it turns out he didn't do it, his image will still be skewed anyways, although he did confess to adultery so maybe that might have something to do with it as well.

I"m guessing by the external bruises that might indicate sexual assault? The case sounds like a ton of he said she said.

i dont see how its laughable... i mean, she said she was raped "against a chair" i know that sounds like "bent over a chair" and it may be hard to not slip into some sort of porno cliche but keep in mind the amount of damage they claim this woman endured. this is a serious issue and, although im not sure why this information was made public, should not be taken lightly.

Have you ever try to have sex on a chair? It's kinda hard with two willing people, let alone if one is not willing.

WTF? She was bent over a chair.

What I just don't get is how does feeling uncomfortable and wanting to leave lead to "consensual" kissing. hMMM....just wanting to leave, then yes....or not wanting to leave, then yes, but feeling unfortable.....hMMMM....

I just read about what happened on espn. Sounds awfully weak to me. First off the guy who interviewed the girl saw no marks on her neck. Second Kobe told her to "clean up" and "fix her hair" and she did and then went and finished her shift? WTF? No way, no way that happened. Now your going to tell me a man forcefully holds her over a chair by her throat, rapes her, and then she does everything he says even down to just going down and finishing her shift. Man please. And please how do you hold someone by the neck enuff not to choke them but "control them" while you rape them. This is the biggest bunch of crock I've ever heard.

Where are you reading that she went down to finish her shift? From what i heard, she left the room and went straight to the police.

Afterward, Bryant told the woman to clean up, Winters said. She fixed her hair, wiped her face and left after again promising to remain silent.
She went back to the front desk to finish up her work and finally left the resort with an unidentified bellman, Winters said. She told him what happened and he urged her to report it, later following her home.

Yeah, but a lot of women don't react immediately after being raped either. Some take a shower, or even wait for days before reporting. Partly because of the shock, confusion of what to do, and the shame of having to tell it. You can't fault somebody for that unless you've been in a similar circumstance.

WEll she couldn't have had to much shock or shame she told a bellboy not too long after it happened.

if he bent her over a chair, did her itb, and then made her kiss little kobe, he's a dirty man. I doubt a bunch of white jurors are going to look to kindly on a dirty black man doing that kind of thing to a pretty little white girl.

I wonder if anything will come of the rumor that she did three guys in three days.

What a mess. That's bad behavior for dennis rodman, let alone mr nice guy.

Well....I'd say it's obvious from the replies who actually knows a victim of sexual assault or has themselves been a victim of sexual assault. And people wonder why this sort of crime is so rarely reported. I guess it's because of the callousness of the majority of the general public. :disgust:
