I guess you can count me as one of the minority then. I want reclining seats when I travel by air.

Good thing they diverted the flight to Chicago instead of continuing for another 90 minutes to their destination of Denver. A couple of bickering passengers could easily take a plane down. You couldn't just separate them or do anything to calm the situation. That plane was certainly doomed and the pilot and crew are heroes for narrowly averting a disaster.

It becomes almost impossible to read, use your phone, eat, drink, or do anyting else when the seat back in front of you plows into your personal space. For short haul flights you really need that?
 
No little piece of plastic could keep me from reclining. A few slams back and that thing will explode off.

People who recline their seats on airplanes suck. There's already barely enough room as it is. And no, the answer is not to recline my own seat as that does not provide the space I lost from your selfish ass reclining in front of me.
 
I think it's stupid to have a recline feature...makes it hard to use your laptop when someone is reclining in front of you. But at the same time, it's nice to recline on a long flight. But no one wants to pay for first-class, so sardine-packing it is 😛
 
are you all complaining about reclined seats in front of you just a buncha fat fucks or something? i'm by no means a small guy (5'11 @ 205lbs right now, but athletic/muscular build) and i fly the normal american companies (southwest, us airways, united, american, jetblue) and i've never once felt "squished" or like i couldn't breathe because the person infront of me reclined their seat. and i don't have my seat reclined usually if i'm watching something because i want to be sitting upright not leaning back.

i've never once had any problems doing anything you are talking about with the person reclined infront of me on over 20 flights in the past 8 or so years.

How fat and large are you people that lose your fucking minds over someone reclining their seat in front of you?

I've never felt so inconvenienced by someone else exercising their right to recline their seat that I got angry. Only caveat to that is when trying to squeeze out to use the latrine.

Then again, the Army has packed me into some pretty uncomfortable spots for hours on end, so maybe I've just adapted.

:thumbsup: No kidding. I'm more inconvenienced when I'm sitting in between two fatties on a packed flight. That is WAAAY more annoying than someone reclining their seat in front of me... don't even get me started on if one of them is sick or smells or is gassy. :twisted:
 
Flew on an Aircanada A321 which was great! With legroom

Flew on Air canada A320 and that was terrible. Knees on the chair... guy next to me had it slightly worse guy kept trying to recline his chair and guys knees were holding it up. Guy kept trying through the flight lol.

If someone tries to lower their chair I push back for sure. With the table down and the char back My legs stick up enough to push the table up and need to sit weirdly(uncomfortable) to make it flat.

Also Reclining doesn't gain me anything and so I never recline my chair.

And who DOESN'T recline btw? I don't think I've ever see someone sit upright on even short flights.

I had some heffer do this to me, i wasn't expecting it and she just rammed the chair into my knees....

I don't recline. It does not provide any extra comfort and I know it takes up space for the person behind me, so I don't do it.
 
I've had a few instances where I'm sitting normally (for reference I'm 6'2, 190) and my knees are pretty much bumping up w/ the chair in front of me. Sometimes my knee will be in between the chairs (where the armrest is) so as to give me a tiny bit more room. But then people in front of me will raise the arm rest and it crushes my knee due to the angle and motion of the armrest going up. Can't really blame the people in front of me, but just shows how little leg room there is already.

Im recline my seat back and kicking my foot forward no matter what. Fuck the person behind and infront. I'm also using the armrest on both sides.
