Plus, he's about as dumb as it gets. AMDZen has a higher football IQ than Kaeperhole. Dude is a phenomenal athlete, and he made about 3 amazing plays today, but he's still "middling"

Kaep had a 4.0 GPA in high school. His wonderlic score was higher than Russell Wilson.

He's never going to be Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but who cares? He's simply awesome in his own ways. He has big play ability with both his arm and his legs and he doesn't throw many interceptions.

whew, glad the Niners could pull it off. It looked like Kap was tossing complete ducks out there, his legs made the difference.

And that's about it in a nutshell, he's well above average in arm strength, somewhat middling in accuracy, thing is you have to cover the receivers and when he see's everyone deep down-field in coverage he takes off like a jackrabbit, it's a ball-breaker for a D to get to a 3rd and 12 and have him pull that off, sure a coach could assign a "spy" on him for those situations but then your unable to cover the WR's as someone has to "stay home" and shadow him to try and stop his runs..

Colin's deep ball has been good this year. He's hit Vernon Davis often this year for deep balls. This game was in near record low temps, no body expected great deep balls. Rodgers certainly didn't throw any either.

Deep throws are easy to defend, especially when your target also doesn't pose a threat up the middle.

Fair assessment of Kaep.

He has one of the strongest arms among QBs but just average accuracy. Combine those with his legs, you get one heck of a QB.

He's actually good at those throws. Kaep has had a top 3 QB rating and top 3 QBR rating since Crabtree came back 6 weeks ago.

I understand what you're saying though. His passes always look like lasers which is unlike any other QB out there. But it works...

Why is he an idiot on the field? Poor clock management? Yea, he's bad at that but this is technically just his 2nd season. He'll get better with time.

Idiots are QBs that throw interceptions like nothing such as Eli Manning, Andy Dalton, Carson Palmer, Joe Flacco, Mathew Stafford.

Kaep has a 21 to 8 interception ratio this year. And he did it without Crabtree most of the year and he had to play the Seahawks twice. No body escapes Seatle without throwing at least a couple of picks.

Since Crabtree has come back, Kaepernick is 12-2 in TD-INT ratio.

Why is Kaep an idiot? Bring some facts.

Why he rushed for 98 yards and Rodgers rushed for zero? Why he simply outplayed Rodgers, the best QB in the game, the last 3 times they played?

Smith is a better QB? Really? With a far lower QBR rating and lower QB rating this year? And if Smith had to play against Seatle twice, his numbers would look like far worse this season.

He has to run as he can't throw for shit and his 58% completion ratio shows that. Look at Wilson who uses his run to open the field up and get more good quality throws. That brings not only his completion percent up but also gets him more yards per throw and more TD to INTs as well compared to Kaep.

Kaep also averaged 200yards a game, that puts him 32 out of 37 qbs in 2013.

So yes right now Kaep is a slightly above average QB. That is not a bad thing if the rest of the team and defense especially plays well. Its the reason the bears gave Cutler, another slightly above average QB, a lot of money. They may not be able to carry the team but they are still as good or better than any other option they have. Build the rest of the team up and you still win.

did you watch that game? Rodgers had at least 2 big bombs off of his back heel, trotting backwards or falling to the ground. One of them was batted away in the arms of the receiver, but the throw was a 40 yard+ laser between two defenders and into the chest of his guy. --and this is a guy throwing with a broken collarbone. I think Kaeperdingle would pull himself out of the game if one of his tattoos got smudged.

Kap had some decent tosses, I give him that and yes the cold is always a factor, but when he missed long, damn was it ugly.

He's stupid because he doesn't give all hsi guys the looks they need, he doesn't always throw it to the right places. He's more "run or make a play" first than he is "make the right play." This is the opposite of a guy like Wilson, who is there to make the right play and create plays when they need to be created. also a low INT, throw-away QB that doesn't force anything.

And, well, I call into question your assessment of his QBR this season. I suspect you have it weighted to certain weeks--you know, the weeks you think are "fair" to assess him.

You accuse me of cherry picking stats but you go ahead and cherry stats that really don't matter? Do you even know what QBR is? It's an overall metric for a QB. Completion % is NOT an overall metric.

It's a joke to use completion % to justify to the better QB is.

And it's already been mentioned that Kaep lost Michael Crabtree, the best receiver on the Niners team. All their other WRs were junk except for Boldin. Now that Crabtree is back, Kaep has been one of the most efficient QBs in the game.

And your boy Russell Wilson? Kaep had a higher QBR this season than Wilson did.

I'm a genius on paper. No really. ..I was in the gifted class because of it. I don't drop numbers but I qualify.
