Wow, coming from you.

All the AFC teams have pretty big weaknesses this year, but I don't have faith in Denver's defense to stop New England.

But you're right, KC is beyond over-rated. Their defense is average and shut-down Jamal Charles, they have no offense.

KC had a good opening drive against the Colts, but that was the only time they were ever a serious threat. The defense adapted and they pretty much owned Alex Smith the whole game. We'll see if KC was holding back in that game as some have suggested.

I will be rooting hard for the Chiefs and the Bengals. Put some pre-season money on them to win the Super Bowl and would get a nice little payout if it happens. :awe:

Aside from them I will be rooting for the Patriots and Seahawks to get to the big game.

KT

Oh man, I'm sure the odds were ever so good. Reminds me of Bosox before the start of MLB last season

Easiest way to shut down Smith is take away the short passes, two years ago NYG's did it to us at the Stick. Smith does NOT like throwing long balls.

So you think the Broncos would blow a 24 point half time lead once again, and lose in OT again, to a team that had a healthy Gronkowski and was IN FOXBOROUGH. Yea, OK. I'll not make the same mistake again saying the Broncos would win the game for sure, but I definitely like my Broncos chances against NE again in Denver.

The Broncos have gotten better since that game, and aren't playing Ronnie Fumble'man anymore and also Montee Ball has looked to have shed his fumblitis. NE on the other hand have lost critical pieces since that game.

seems dolphins and titans still thinking about booting their coach. would put the total at 8 if both are sent home.

I like Lovie Smith. Think he's a great coach. He'll need a strong offensive coordinator though since he's primarily a defensive coach. The problem with him going to Detroit is Matthew Stafford doesn't exactly seem motivated to try to improve. Stafford got his coach Gym Shorts fired and didn't exactly seem remorseful of his own or the team's performance. That's why if Lovie goes to Detroit, he's going to need a strong offensive coordinator.

Question for any 49'er fans: What is the latest on M. Lattimore? I remember being impressed with that draft pick, even knowing that it would probably be a season or two before he played.

Thanks.

It's good that this time not everyone is picking the Broncos to win it all. It's never the favorite and last year made that clear as they were the clear favorite.

Go Manning!

Hard for them not to be the clear favorite this year--Honestly, I think SF was more of a favorite last year, than Denver, if you ask me.

NFC has a lot of great teams in the playoffs, sure, but not clear clear favorites among them. Denver is the only AFC team that should make it to the SB.

Who knows though, maybe Rivers and that joke Ryan Matthews will go Beast Mode all the way to the SB... :whiste:

And has a Jack Del Rio defense ever beaten Tom Brady? With no Von Miller, I don't see Denver being able to put place much pressure on Brady.

Von Miller is a name. The stats show that we were better without him. He hasn't been the same this year with missing 6 games, weight gain and probably attitude. I thought the same when we started the year without him, and yet he brought very little upon his return. He should return to being great but this year he has not been. It's not nearly as a big a loss as it looks on paper, Ryan Clady looked like the biggest loss and we've been mostly fine without him too. As long as our defense does a few things to help us win I am not too concerned about it being any worse with out Von Miller as it has been with him. Which is not great, granted but good enough to have the best record in the AFC.

I don't think a SB victory is out of the question but it will be very hard. I just hope that we take advantage of back-to-back first seeds and make it count this time. At least getting to the SB if not winning it. Should be a fun ride, just as long as its better than last year (one and done) which I like our chances of doing.

Was put on IR. Practiced a few weeks though which was good. Hopefully he's fully healthy by spring.

bucs have hired lovie.

:hmm:

Interesting. My good buddy from the Chicago days and a lifetime TB fan must be going through a tizzy right now. I have to see what he thinks. I like Lovie a lot, and he could do good things for TB...he just has game time management issues. But he's a huge upgrade, that's for sure.

Shit, I would have loved him in the Redskins job. :\

Yea, the Patriots have proven this year to be as mentally tough as any team I've ever seen and I admire that more than anything, that said their defense is just too banged-up and missing Wilfork, Mayo, Kelly against an offense that can show as many different looks as Denver can, playing at home. I don't think Billichek will have a 20 MPH wind as his 12th man this time around and I would think Denver will prevail in a good game..

And before I forget, WTF was Romo's wife doing at the game last Sunday? Your husband just had back surgery. You couldn't stay home with him?

A bunch of us living in the Mitten really wanted him.
