Yea yea, Manning is terrible in the playoffs because he made it every single season even with mediocre teams. Even this season the defense in mediocre, the offense is one of the best ever seen. And is statistically the best in history.

Brady hasn't done any better in the playoffs recently.

Manning is due.

Rivers is due to lose in Denver.

Broncos are due.

They will be focused. I think the rest is a good thing for Manning so I'll just agree to completely disagree with you on that.

If Matthews doesn't play or is hobbled (which he will be at the very least) good luck running ball control with Ronnie Brown.

We'll see. Should be a great weekend of football

Question is, if the unthinkable, the unimaginable, happens and SD wins, will you disappear like a fart in the wind for 6 months???

I don't think it's unthinkable or unimaginable like it was last year. No way I ever said that.

If they lose, chances are I would have no reason to post in a football thread. If that is your definition of disappear, then yea - I won't be in football threads since I would have nothing left to discuss football related.

Assholes can always track me down in other threads and call me out just like you did last year though.

Oh look ZeN is posting in a news thread about X, lets bring up the Broncos losing

SD is definitely the definition of a wild card. You never know what you're getting. At times, they look awful and other times, they just stun with their efficiency. Rivers is just icing on the cake, because when they win, he gets to talk to the camera.

and then we all win! :D

I don't recall "tracking you down" and lets face it, the nature of your post was unique, I mean some peeps made it their SIG so you kind of brought it on yourself..

Others did. Others would again

So basically, who TF cares.

You guys act like you don't want me posting any way, and then are pissed that I disappeared from the football threads after that loss last year. Seems to me you guys should have enjoyed having me gone.

I even explained why I disappeared but can everyone see every post? Seems to me people should move the fuck on already

I don't think anyone is pissed you "disappear". Some of just find it humorous you are so confident in the second coming of Jesus... I mean Manning and dick ride him at every turn. Even in their loses. It is never because the other team played better, or was better, or simply out coached. It was always because Denver was "taking the week off", or "didn't show up", or "didn't feel like playing their best", or some other petty excuse your team got shit on.

Why don't you just man up and say "I was blinded by my love of Elway's baby and perhaps a bit too confident AND was wrong about my prediction." Nobody would give two shits afterwards. Perhaps if you stopped displaying the traits identical to your attitude that got you "tracked down", people would move on.

That's my point. I did do that, and is everyone supposed to see it? I think you should just ignore my posts because you're always a complete dick every single thread about any single subject.

They were playing to stay #1 overwall weren't they?

I like your avatar, even though I am a 'Hawks dude. Kickers are an underrated part of the game, especially in college. Seems like having a crappy kicker burns an SEC team once a week, and wins a game in the NFL once a week. At least in the NFL they can pay to get a good kicker, in college they often have to give up a scholarship after a season or two.

In the AFC? Nobody. But, I'd argue Carolina is pretty hot. They started 1-3 then finished 11-1.

Yep, Carolina. Took them awhile to recover playing and losing to Seattle in week 1, but they recovered to go on a heck of a run that included a win in San Fran. :sneaky:

Defense travels. I anticipate a very hard hitting and physical NFC Championship in Seattle against Carolina or the 'Niners.

akugami,

You sorta have a point that its a few bad apples that spoil the bunch. Just be happy Philly fans' reputation isn't to the level of Raider fans. :D

Different cities have other stereotypes, i.e. L.A. fans arrive at the arena late, hardly pay attention to the game, and leave early trying to beat traffic. I'd wager many of these stereotypes at least have some basis in fact. So in short, other places don't get a "free pass" either.

The sad part is that boorish behavior and hooliganism that maybe used to be respectively confined to Philly and Oakland have spread throughout other venues. In that respect, I'll say that you're right.

I grew up in LA...;)...:hmm:...

Was never a fan of the Raiders or the Rams though. I understand why the NFL wants to get back into LA but LA is a basketball town. It's all about the Lakeshow.

Smith likely to play, thomas likely not to. Lynch appealed and won against his no media fine. Kubiak and shanny jr top fins OC candidate list.

Jay Gruden, not Jon Gruden. =( Such disappoint.

:':)':)'(

man...so much excitment, so much joy, so much AMAZING HAPPY DAY, all squashed and pounded into oblivion, and all of it...in the matter of seconds.

so sad.

damn it, Lupi! can you at least put together a sensible post for once! Half the time everyone needs to translate them, the other half seem intentionally misleading!

Did they announce his pay?

Supposedly U of M was going to make him one of the highest paid in the nation.

Gruden and Dungy have both said they are very happy where they are at. I get the feeling they are well paid for what they do and they don't have to put in 20 hour days anymore.
