I caught the first episode this week. Not bad. I like it better than Gordon's regular show, Hell's Kitchen.

My wife and I watched the first episode yesterday, it's very entertaining. We definitely plan on watching the rest of the season...

Decent show. Pretty much a clone of the BBC version. I'm a Hell's Kitchen fan, but his show The F Word (probably what Hell's Kitchen was developed from) on the BBC is his best.

I heard on the BBC version, he revisits the restaurant he improves after a few weeks. Too bad they don't do it in this version, although I still really enjoyed it.

I like them both but like Kitchen Nightmares better because he helps the people run a successful business that will help them have a better life.

Also, why did Fox put this show on during Wednesday's at 9pm? Now it has to go up against Criminal Minds :l

Yep, he does revisit them on the Beeb version. I wouldn't be surprised to see a special episode or two where he revisits the ones for this version too.

DVR FTW

Nah it's not that. It's just that this show going up against Criminal Minds for ratings is gonna hurt :(

I watched it with my wife, like the BBC version better... on the BBC version, they concentrate more on the restaurant menu and the cooking chef... This first episode with the Italian restaurant feels a bit over-dramatized like Jerry Springer...

Missed last nights, but the first 2 were very entertaining. And it never gets old to see Ramsay cuss out other people :D

the episodes seem to be veering closer to the BBC America version (a GOOD thing) as the season goes along, but i'm sure the show will suffer from FOX reality show syndrome throughout the season. oh, and they need to get the fuck out of long island.

did anyone notice the glowing red eyes at the bottom of the screen when panning over the exterior of the restaurant during the previous episode? weird.

I like it a lot. The only thing about the BBC version is that is more compassionate to the people. Which is fine with me, but he has to be more of a dick on the American version because people know him from Hell's Kitchen

Loved the UK version, mostly because he focused more on cuisine work as opposed to management.

The US version, while a good show by itself is NOTHING like the UK version (which is way better).
The US version is completely FOXized and it detracts from the premise of the show.
In the 2 US ones I've seen he/Fox GIVES the restaurants an entirely new kitchen head to toe and/or remodels the entire place, offers a consulting chef etc etc.

The "Peters" episode was ridiculous (again it was entertaining though). He gave them a new kitchen ($$$$$) yet let Peter keep everything he had purchased with money from the place. In a similar UK version he was forcing the head chef/owner to sell his BMW on ebay to buy a new stove. THAT is changing the restaurant for the better not just gifting them with things they need.

Gordon can do no wrong though. The UK version of KN and F Word are "spot on"

He doesn't. He's a restrauntuer and celebrity now. He's hired executive chef's to run his restaurants and a hell of a manager it seems.

Don't get me wrong he can still cook the pants of Bobby Flay (who can't?) though.

Yeah, I heard Gordon axed the Chef at one of his new restaurants recently after it was poorly reviewed
