er, the UK version is an hour (air time) and has fewer commercials - it pretty much has to be longer than the Fox version. the original always shows him working in the kitchen with the chef rather than having "gordon's team of decorators" (with whom i'm sure he has no actual contact) swoop in overnight and redecorate. much better TV, IMO

yeah, but if I recall they do 2 businesses within that hour.

Decent show. Pretty much a clone of the BBC version. I'm a Hell's Kitchen fan, but his show The F Word (probably what Hell's Kitchen was developed from) on the BBC is his best.
I heard on the BBC version, he revisits the restaurant he improves after a few weeks. Too bad they don't do it in this version, although I still really enjoyed it.
