Did you say their's upto a weeks delay before credit is actually given for any finished WU?
No, I said it was 24 hours == 1 day delay of reporting results, if no other reason to connect, like you're asking for more work. Just something to remember, in case someone sets "no new work" then filled-up their cache and so on. ;)

As for actual crediting, this depends on your "wingman", so can happen either immediately after you've uploaded your results, or over 1 month after you've returned your results...
Eh? ,so which is it that actually counts to your score(total credit)?

Jim
Looks like I'd better use SSE3 client seeing as I have a C2D ,how much improvement was there?
Pitty their's no graphics though :p

Smoke
Not been on since saturday afternoon :p
Yep all who've signed up here are on the list.

Petrus
You got the month wrong on your above post ;)

Validated results...

In SETI@home wu's is normally validated with 2 results, meaning you and whoever also got the wu must both crunch & return a result. While majority of wu's is validated after a couple days, some of the wu's has over 2 months deadline, meaning some of the results can take a very long time before they're validated...

Sounds good - and in a race like this the probability for getting the results validated is quite good! :D
Oh, Assimilator1, thanks for finding the error - corrected! :)

Well, if everyone during the race gets only VHAR's it's a fairly good chance everything is crunched quickly, but the disadvantage is the SETI@home-servers can't handle the load of only short wu's...

As for the wrong month, didn't even see it, afterall most of the dates on this forum is screwed-up so one more or less is easily overlooked. ;)

But, the clock on the other hand is still funny...

I thought you were too late ,but it turns out you're not! ,welcome to the race team :)
..........where the heck did I get 2 days from???:eek:

[edit]I see now, the gauntlet FAQ & the thread give 2 different cut off dates:confused: ,I've asked for clarification.

[edit2]Technically you're too late crispy:( ,I guess theirs still a small chance they might sneak you in;) ,failing that you can always hold the fort at DPAD:)

Ok i put a 2.2ghz Northwood on the 2.2 lunatics.at P4 optimized client last night..... but i noticed the box is claiming higher credit than its receiving is this a problem?

CPU time Claimed credit Received

2.2 is outdated... use the 2.4 clients from here

ok, I'm getting much better results now with the optimized clinet from lunatics.at. I'm up 12-15% now after 2.5 days on all my rigs that are running it. My c2d with the sse3 optimized client is overreporting credit, but even with the lower granted credit it is still up about 13% RAC. Both my x2's and the opty180 are getting granted full credit and they are also up in the 12-15% range. I tried running it on my xp2400+ rig and kept getting errors so that one is back to using the normal client without optimizations.

update, boinc version 5.10.28 is out now. I couldn't find a list of enhancements/improvements but I went ahead and dowloaded it just in case.

I've noticed a very large spike in the TeAm Seti RAC section. I think that petrusbroder is about to "smoke" me :)

edit: anybody know if they're working on an sse4 optimizer for penryn?

I suspect a lot of TA people will become acquainted or re-acquainted with each other during the Gauntlet. All the TAS folks know me, but I haven't taken a crack at SETI in eight or so years so to SETI (and Folding, etc) regulars I'm an "unknown. However, I should be "up there" pretty soon since the dogs busted out of the pen last night. :D

what is your user name and account # dajeepster? hopefully you can join us!

@petrusbroder, I decided to go all independence day on you and say "we will not go quietly into the night!" or, um, in this case, I won't give up 9th place so easily...

:D LoL! and :D

My crunchers are going all out - so if you pass me I'll have to add one. :D
I like the idea of a race in the race - but my resources are limited.
OTOH: I have parts for a E6600-machine in my drawer - I hope to find some time ... but I have also more then 16 000 credits pending ... This will be fun ;)

Oh, sorry for not answering earlier - but I was out of town ...
