It's been slammed by serious reviewers everywhere so, I predict it will be a great hit with the kiddies.

Not many kiddies going to be able to see it since it's R rated. If you're under 30, you will find this movie hilarious. The older generation adults will not.

Yep, Roger Ebert called it "morally reprehensible". lol

Shall I have feelings, or should I pretend to be cool? Will I seem hopelessly square if I find “Kick-Ass” morally reprehensible and will I appear to have missed the point? Let's say you're a big fan of the original comic book, and you think the movie does it justice. You know what? You inhabit a world I am so very not interested in. A movie camera makes a record of whatever is placed in front of it, and in this case, it shows deadly carnage dished out by an 11-year-old girl, after which an adult man brutally hammers her to within an inch of her life. Blood everywhere. Now tell me all about the context.

Have you ever seen a movie theater enforce the R rating? I haven't. Besides, anyone under 21 is a 'kiddie' in my book.

I admit I had strong feelings against seeing this until I heard something about the movie that characterized it as not what I would of expected of it and sure enough the movie offers a great twist of down to earth senses, to scenes that make you think *that did not just happen* or *unbelievable* but continues to involve you with teenage humor that is done well. It truly lives up to its name: 10/10

I should be seeing it on Sunday, thought it looked funny in the previews. My sense is usually pretty good with movies, after seeing a tailer or two, I can usually tell if its going to be worthwhile or not.

I don't even bother to listen to 'serious' reviewers, most of the time, they're pretentious jackasses.

Hah, I always really like Ebert.

Hah, link from his website: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0740763660?tag=rogerebcom-20&linkCode=as2

From Roger's review of Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (0 stars): "The movie created a spot of controversy in February 2005. According to a story by Larry Carroll of MTV News, Rob Schneider took offense when Patrick Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times listed this year's Best Picture nominees and wrote that they were 'ignored, unloved, and turned down flat by most of the same studios that . . . bankroll hundreds of sequels, including a follow-up to Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, a film that was sadly overlooked at Oscar time because apparently nobody had the foresight to invent a category for Best Running Penis Joke Delivered by a Third-Rate Comic.'
"Schneider retaliated by attacking Goldstein in full-page ads in Daily Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. In an open letter to Goldstein, Schneider wrote: 'Well, Mr. Goldstein, I decided to do some research to find out what awards you have won. I went online and found that you have won nothing. Absolutely nothing. No journalistic awards of any kind. . . . Maybe you didn't win a Pulitzer Prize because they haven't invented a category for Best Third-Rate, Unfunny Pompous Reporter Who's Never Been Acknowledged by His Peers. . . .'

"Schneider was nominated for a 2000 Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor, but lost to Jar-Jar Binks. But Schneider is correct, and Patrick Goldstein has not yet won a Pulitzer Prize. Therefore, Goldstein is not qualified to complain that Columbia financed Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo while passing on the opportunity to participate in Million Dollar Baby, Ray, The Aviator, Sideways, and Finding Neverland. As chance would have it, I have won the Pulitzer Prize, and so I am qualified. Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks."
