Keith Olbermann just totally and absolutely de_stroyed Oreilly

there will be a video cap on the interweb in under one day...all i have to say is wow. it brought a tear to my eye.

it was the Malmaedy massacre where SS soldiers executed 84 american soliders. tuesday, oreilly said it was the other way around and the US had actually captured and executed the SS. fair enough, he could have made a simple mistake. Fox then editted the transcript to take out Oreilly's whole analogy of how we executed them and replaced it with "normandy" instead of "malmaedy." Then wednesday, they air a letter from a fan pointing out oreilly got it wrong. Oreilly then not only not apologizes he says he was talking about something else........ What followed was the best "insert vulgar verb here" I have ever seen. it brought a tear to my eye.

EDIT: Video link provided by Youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZKG93i5ISmc&search=o%27reilly

This really was a particularly disgusting performance by O'Reilly, coming as it did the day after Memorial Day. Actually I think I'm more bothered by his lying about it after the fact, and Fox News deleting his original comments from the transcript. Fair and balanced, my ass.

was this event (the massacre) portrayed in a movie?
i remember a scene similar to this in a WWII movie i saw a while back

awe, i should have kept reading, it has a link to "saints and soldiers" , i think that is the movie i am thinking of

i stopped watching oreilly about 2yrs ago.

he became such a pompous ass.
I agree. He used to be usually right and really stuck it to people in a convincing way, but now he's really gotten full of himself.

Everyone is wrong occasionally....Rush Limbaugh will even admit if he's flat-out wrong, but I haven't seen that Oreilly is capable of doing so.

I rarely watch the news on the major networks, but I swear to god Keith Olberman tells it like it is better than anyone else. He is so articulate but sarcastic at the same time. He rips on FOX and ORielly a lot too, which I find amusing. If i didn't get my news from the Daily Show, i'd be watch Keith Olberman haha

The Daily Show is more opinion than news. I've watched it many times and they leave out quite a bit and don't tell the entire story. It is funny at times and worth watching. I am starting to like the Colbert Report more now. I would get my news elsewhere, though. Have not really watched Keith Olberman that much.

I have not really followed any news lately. I am really out of the loop. I need to get back to my old self of keeping up with what is happening.

Became? When was he not? I've only ever watched O'Reilly for its comedic value. He puts the bare minimum of thought into his viewpoints, and his show appeals to similar people.

Ok, so how does Keith Olberman fit into this?

He's got a hard-on for O'Reilly apparently. He brings up O'Reilly in almost every show from what I gather. (I don't watch either myself)

Yes, I saw movie in which it was depicted. It involved a mormon.

LOL how is Michael Savage these days? Have not listened to him in quite a bit.

Michael Savage is awesome. He may contradict himself every two minutes and he may scream more than he debates, but he's still great entertainment.

When i first got back to the usa in 1996, his show was new. and it was good. he was intelligent, and unafraid to tell the truth about stuff other new channels would not.

when i moved back to nj from tn in 2000 he was starting to get full of himself.

after a while, he became sickening.
