Again why would he do a polygraph test? I just wrote how unreliable they are and the history of those interpretations putting innocent people in jail.

There has never been a requirement to take a polygraph test to be a supreme court judge, so him not taking a test is not controversial or anything, its a smart thing to do that any person with half a brain will do as well.
UNRELIABLE?? Kavanaugh himself said they are useful.
In 2016, Kavanaugh wrote the opinion for a case involving a Ph.D. student who had filed several Freedom of Information Act requests for her dissertation on polygraph bias. The court case centered on whether the student qualified for reduced FOIA fees — the panel decided that she did — but the panel also weighed in on the Defense Department’s decision to withhold certain reports about polygraph exams.

In his opinion, Kavanaugh concluded that polygraphs are a valuable tool for the government to determine credibility and decide who should be allowed to handle classified information.

Still want to hitch your wagon to a proven liar?? Kavanaugh vs Ford is a credibility test.

So when will the FBI start investigating his pot smoking? Boofing doobies....
The thing that's so sad about this, is he could have saved himself a lot of trouble by just admitting that he was quite the partying fool when he was young. Instead he made himself out to be practically a saint. I could care less, what he was doing with his life then (now if the sexual assault stuff was part of it, all bets are off).

He's proven to be a liar, totally partisan, wrt his testimony UNDER OATH, what person who wants a fair as possible Supreme Court could support him being on it?

Anyways, I love that the Democrats have gone scorched earth and finally are moving to delegitimize the SCOTUS. I think from that point of view, it would be good if Kavanaugh is confirmed. Really, he would be the gift that keeps on giving for Democrats.

I this a Supreme court judge of United State of America or United State of Republic?

Clinton was impeached in the house not because of actions he did, it was that he lied about them. Conservatives faces get red when that comes up. I wonder why it's different now.

After his rant about Clinton conspiracies, I would have hammered him on whether he could be impartial if Bill or Hillary (or any of their friends/associates) had a case before the court.

Of course, he'd probably just start yelling at me or rambling about beer until time ran out. But it would be worth a shot.

That's not even close to what was written in that ruling. You may want to have it read and explained to you instead of just reading a headline you fucking retard.

What conservatives are those. My guess is the only conservative you know that gets red faced about anything is the one you're currently fellating. If you can prove Judge Kavanaugh has perjured himself then bring the charge you TDS suffering fucktard. Otherwise shut the fuck up.

The minority can't bring up the charges of perjury, and you know damn well the Republicans haven't and won't.

Since Kavanaugh has a proven track record of being a liar, I see no reason to believe anything he says.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure most of us who went to high school in the late 70's and 80's boofed our fair share of pot... it's was interesting to hear that word again after many many moons... Good times. Too bad he couldn't just own up to it and instead turned this isn't yet another poor persecuted rich white maile republican snowflake tragedy...

Boofing doobies is a term for smoking a joint... Nothing fancy :) Apparently the term has morphed over the decades to mean something totally gross and not something I would think anyone with a clear mind would ever do...

Is this an East coast term, or went away after the early 80s?

Never heard this term used before, and as a native Coloradan, I've heard plenty of lingo for weed.

...

If we based job requirements on what people did when they were young teenagers, NO ONE will be qualified for a job EVER, ANYWHERE!

That is the issue with this whole case, it can't be proven either way and its just been a stall tactic for the democrats.

The only issue he was grilled about was Roe vs Wade, that's it. When that didn't work as people are actually divided on this, its about 50-50% loosely on average, maybe 55-50% pro abortion if you ask the question in a more favorable way to abortion, but essentially this went no where and instead of grilling him about his terrible abuse of the 4th and 5th amendment, they decided to call him a rapist. I guess calling someone sexist or racist these days doesn't do anything, because they've way overused it on nothing!

For the record, I raped 0 ppl when I was in school.

Shouldn't be that hard of a standard to meet.

My, such a foul mouth, and wrong as usual.

Kavanaugh wrote the unanimous opinion (Sack vs. DoD) for the three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C., finding that the Defense Department could withhold reports about whether lie detector tests were effective under the federal public records law.

“The Government has satisfactorily explained how polygraph examinations serve law enforcement purposes,” Kavanaugh wrote.

Seems, in fact, that you need to read the decision in which Kavanaugh wrote the above and what the govt. sees as positive uses for polygraphs. You can read it in its entirety here:

Page 14 is interesting.

Brutally accurate and amusing as usual Oliver, nicely done.

I thought he really nailed it with his reference of Kavanaugh's attitude of entitlement, and his rage at people questioning it. The way he exposed his partisan core and conspiracy driven animosity makes his concealed time in the Bush admin all the more interesting. Also kind of supports previous criticisms of his bench record, that he is far from impartial and nonpartisan and thus unfit for his earlier positions. This is the guy who was all for holding the executive to account when he was helping Ken Starr hound Clinton over consensual sex. Now though, and quite conveniently for Trump, he thinks the PoTUS is basically above the law, and gives patronizing lip service to the concept of recusal.

Can we give Ford the job? It really should go to someone honest, someone willing to leave politics at the door at stand up for civic duty - instead of lying about assault and conflicts of interest.
