Again why would he do a polygraph test? I just wrote how unreliable they are and the history of those interpretations putting innocent people in jail.


There has never been a requirement to take a polygraph test to be a supreme court judge, so him not taking a test is not controversial or anything, its a smart thing to do that any person with half a brain will do as well.

Anyways, I love that the Democrats have gone scorched earth and finally are moving to delegitimize the SCOTUS. I think from that point of view, it would be good if Kavanaugh is confirmed. Really, he would be the gift that keeps on giving for Democrats.

The only issue he was grilled about was Roe vs Wade, that's it. When that didn't work as people are actually divided on this, its about 50-50% loosely on average, maybe 55-50% pro abortion if you ask the question in a more favorable way to abortion, but essentially this went no where and instead of grilling him about his terrible abuse of the 4th and 5th amendment, they decided to call him a rapist. I guess calling someone sexist or racist these days doesn't do anything, because they've way overused it on nothing!

Kavanaugh wrote the unanimous opinion (Sack vs. DoD) for the three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C., finding that the Defense Department could withhold reports about whether lie detector tests were effective under the federal public records law.

“The Government has satisfactorily explained how polygraph examinations serve law enforcement purposes,” Kavanaugh wrote.

I thought he really nailed it with his reference of Kavanaugh's attitude of entitlement, and his rage at people questioning it. The way he exposed his partisan core and conspiracy driven animosity makes his concealed time in the Bush admin all the more interesting. Also kind of supports previous criticisms of his bench record, that he is far from impartial and nonpartisan and thus unfit for his earlier positions. This is the guy who was all for holding the executive to account when he was helping Ken Starr hound Clinton over consensual sex. Now though, and quite conveniently for Trump, he thinks the PoTUS is basically above the law, and gives patronizing lip service to the concept of recusal.

Can we give Ford the job? It really should go to someone honest, someone willing to leave politics at the door at stand up for civic duty - instead of lying about assault and conflicts of interest.
