First time I heard the term boof it was from a classmate in college, Florida. He was gay, really into partying the house/techno scene, explained that he and his friends would insert an ecstasy pill. He called it a boof, also called it a charge IIRC, said the reason they did it was because it made the effects stronger.

It's what immediately made me dismiss Kavanaugh's description. Close enough, and I think we American males, the ones quite social during high school (80s and 90s time frame) know damn well this choir boy Kavanaugh stuff is a crock of shit. Those of us being honest anyway.

Further, the texts show Kavanaugh may need to be questioned about how far back he anticipated Ramirez would air allegations against him. Berchem says, in her memo, that Kavanaugh “and/or” his friends “may have initiated an anticipatory narrative” as early as July to “conceal or discredit” Ramirez.
Kavanaugh told the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath that the first time he heard of his former Yale classmate Deborah Ramirez’s allegation that he exposed himself to her in college was in a Sept. 23 article in The New Yorker.
Kavanaugh was asked by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, when he first heard of Ramirez’s allegations. Kavanaugh answered: “In the New Yorker story.”

Seems, in fact, that you need to read the decision in which Kavanaugh wrote the above and what the govt. sees as positive uses for polygraphs. You can read it in its entirety here:

You're as fucking dumb as everyone else around here. Where in that ruling does Judge Kavanaugh say that polygraph's are useful? Hint: It doesn't. You may want to have it explained to you before you answer again.

No worries, he's already stated that coaching is his favorite thing to do, isn't that a volunteer gig? Seems like it would be in the best interest of the country and Kavanaugh both if he just went and pursued his love of coaching. It would, sadly, require the republicans to again go through the arduous task of having Trump select another nominee. From a pre-made list. After being told who to nominate. That would take literally tens of minutes.

Silly leftists.

I'm looking forward to reading about his fair and even-handed rulings on cases for the next 30 years. Either in the Supreme Court or Court of Appeals.

Another thing that bugged me about Kavanaugh's performance was this:

"I’ll do whatever the committee wants."

"And — and whoever wants — you know whatever the committee decides, you know, I’m — I’m — I’m all in."

"I welcome whatever the committee wants to do,..."

"I will do whatever the committee wants to…"

"I’m always happy to cooperate with the committee."

"I’ll do whatever the committee wants."

"I’ll do whatever the committee wants,"

"I’ll do whatever the committee wants, of course"

My brief interactions with judges (numerous jury selections and one jury stint) puts me of the mind that judges don't fawn. Then I think about Senator Grassley and realize that it is all for show. Kavanaugh knows damn well that he has protection from actually having to do anything except what Grassley consents to. "Whatever the committee wants" is equivalent to "We all know that I don't have to do jack shit to get this position".
