Trump is literal proof that words do matter, because all he's using is words to gain and try to obtain power, and it works. We all know he doesn't deliver policy that he says, so what's left, just his words. You do understand that words and rhetoric are the things that drive movements, literally language is the way this whole thing works. No authoritarian would ever have gotten power without the extreme power of language and words.

If you're trying to say lies don't matter well that's a completely different discussion. But words, and language, that's exactly why Trump won the election and why he's still in it this election. His literal words. That's how he gets his support.
