I drove straight across it for 15 years before I moved to KY. Shitty ass fucking highways with cops at every other mediun. I've lived here for six years and I drive to Cincinnati and places north to buy weed.

TF does that have to do with your shitty election prediction history?!?!

So, no.

It could not be more clear, language is so important, especially in politics. A dumb hill to die on is - no it doesn't really matter. Have you been paying attention in politics? Just a few words can change things, it happens all the time. When the racists are the issue, you state it like that, you don't flip it and use words to say that Kamala or Obama were responsible.

It could not be more clear.
He also said it would then take a white man to swoop in and fix the mess. I don't know how anyone walks away from reading that thinking it was reasonable political discourse for the topic. It's deplorable-level thinking, whomever one tries to pawn it off on.

(That reply was edited per your suggestion, but the original is still quoted from yesterday.)

@fskimospy Have you even stepped foot in Ohio in the last 8+ years, bruh?
Nope! In fact I've only been in Ohio once in my life.

My comment wasn't about if Trump will win Ohio (I think he will), but instead about his record of always been wrong with his election predictions.

The whole point, that you're not getting, that you've been told repeatedly (as usual), is that the bolded just isn't what they were saying. You either don't understand the original convo, or you're twisting it to argue against something that no one is really saying.

And words mean jack shit. Trump is proof positive of that.

I mean this is just getting ridiculous at this point. Yeah sure some of us here can understand what someone else is saying when they say it incorrectly because we chat here all the time. But that was still an absolutely terrible way to say what he was trying to say, and he's probably going to say it that way to other people.

By saying words don't matter and using Trump as proof is the absolute worst comparison I can think of. Trump is literal proof that words do matter, because all he's using is words to gain and try to obtain power, and it works. We all know he doesn't deliver policy that he says, so what's left, just his words. You do understand that words and rhetoric are the things that drive movements, literally language is the way this whole thing works. No authoritarian would ever have gotten power without the extreme power of language and words.

If you're trying to say lies don't matter well that's a completely different discussion. But words, and language, that's exactly why Trump won the election and why he's still in it this election. His literal words. That's how he gets his support.

I mean if you don't like her music, don't listen to it

Thanks!

Go back to your Lawerence Welk reruns.

Anna One, Anna Two...

Larry would have been a MAGAt.
Maybe...being Hungarian, he wasn't too fond of Nazis or Communists.

o_O
I always thought LW was a Hungarian immigrant...but apparently NOT the case.

Welk was born in the German-speaking community of Strasburg, North Dakota.[2] He was sixth of the eight children of Ludwig and Christiana (née Schwahn) Welk, Roman Catholic ethnic Germans who emigrated in 1892 from Odessa, Russian Empire (now Ukraine).

They should deploy Mark Cuban onto every TV network, podcast, and stream to explain the real impacts of these two policy proposals to people.

So much this. Seriously, call him up Kamala.

Cuban has respect and culture clout like no other billionaire. He put his money where his mouth was with costplusdrugs.com, probably more of a help to the middle class than anything the repugs have done on healthcare in decades.

Yeah Hungary didn't have a problem with fascists, still doesn't. They were the fourth member of the AXIS powers after all.
Hungary's authoritarian leader was useful to the AXIS until he wasn't, then he got replaced.

Classic role of collaborators...everything's fine, and then you get Boxcar'd.

Dems dealing with another magarat shitstain.

This time in the form of orange menace retread, corey lewandowski.

Purposefully mispronouncing her name and refused to say it when Jim Acosta told him this is how to pronounce it.
Complete disregard for the sitting VP of the US

"“Corey, you’ve been in this business a long time. I think you’re a mature grown-up. It’s Ka-ma-la Harris. Can you just say Kamala?” the CNN anchor asked, to which Lewandowski refused."

Sorta kinda confirmed that it didn't happen. He made up the whole story.

Not a Swift plan.
Uh... are you disputing that he smashed the guitar with the hammer? That part seems indisputable (I've seen the clip). It was apparently not actually autographed.

Well…ILLEGAL immigrants ARE criminals…crossing the border illegally IS a crime of and by itself.
This it would seem is not correct. Illegal immigrants, for one thing, are not citizens of the USA. As such, it seems to me, they can't be convicted of crimes enacted and enforced by the USA. They can be deemed having entered the USA illegally, and dealt with officially in accordance with the laws of the USA. They are not in compliance with immigration policy, perhaps. Are they by virtue of that criminals? I don't think so.

There's no republicans I love, but if they don't have a national following.. they might be better than some corrupt local dems I have like Adams.

FFS I voted for Mike Bloomberg the republican.. he didn't turn out so bad did he?

I came to realize some years ago that I'd been meeting some great people from Ohio. After a time it dawned on me that they all had one special thing in common. They'd moved from Ohio to the Bay Area.
