The worst is how the press sane washes that into something like: President Trump discusses his economic plans for the auto industry to reassure anxious swing voters who are not sold on Kamala Harris.

Their failure (intentional or not) to effectively inform readers of the fact that he is a huge crank that you should not trust is really severe.
It's absolutely intentional - at this point how could it not be? For whatever reason they have convinced themselves that accurately portraying Trump's infirmities is biased.

As I've said before I think this comes from 1) decades of Republicans relentlessly working the refs, relentlessly describing objective coverage as biased against them and 2) they stand to directly financially benefit from Trump's election.

When people talk about how Trump will be good for the economy it would be wise to show them that his only economic plans (deportations and tariffs) basically drop a bomb on said economy. Mass deportation and his tariffs plans implemented simultaneously will shove the US into a depression for no reason whatsoever other than that he is a racist moron.

Vance literally said last night 'don't trust experts, trust common sense'. That's all you need to know.

It doesn't matter. You should never use that language.

I'm really not sure how people don't realize how important the use of language is. It changes everything. One stupid slogan took the post George Floyd movement's momentum for police reform and destroyed it.

I can't imagine an existence where context is unimportant and everyone has to force feed me everything. Seems to be pretty implausible to me.

And Obama being POTUS created Trump whitelash.. because in the mind of racists that was horrific
I believe that did occur, but do not downplay the role social media played.
The transition from Bush to Obama was also the dawn of social media. And the absolute group-think, self aggrandizing brain rot that followed.
American institutions died in those years, under the newfound tidal wave of stupidity. Those institutions helped keep us safe from our darker impulses and baser instincts.

It could not be more clear, language is so important, especially in politics. A dumb hill to die on is - no it doesn't really matter. Have you been paying attention in politics? Just a few words can change things, it happens all the time. When the racists are the issue, you state it like that, you don't flip it and use words to say that Kamala or Obama were responsible.

It could not be more clear.

Is Trump honestly making gains? or are the polls inaccurate to how people will be voting come Novemenber? I think there is a lot of the voting population who is just saying Trump to avoid being harrased, or violantly attacked by Trump supporters. I don't recall any other election where a mail man was attacked for delivering campaign support material, or a Sherif publically telling people to document democrat supporters.. Or government officials publically stating a certain catagory of citizens should be put to death. Heck, there have been some people on the right who have said all democrats should be killed.. All because they support a felon, who has already attempted a coup, and will most certainly do it again if he is given the chance. My point is we have a lot of people who fear openly admitting they will vote for Harris.

He has made slight gains with African American voters and massive gains with Latino voters. Will it be in the swing states that matter? I don't know.

And the notion that people are afraid for openly supporting Harris sounds just sounds like hopium.

They won't do it.

They'll implement some watered down version of their tariffs, maybe deport a few hundred thousand and then call it a victory.

Do you even understand why there was backlash during/from Obama's Presidency and after? Hint 1: It has less to do with his skin color, and more to do with: (the answer) Hint 2: : We see simular backlash today in another area of our society where woman are concerned (no it's not abortion). What do you think that is that took place during Obama's Presidency and today with women?

You're spending too much time trying to figure out the "why"...when it's already here and gaining steam.

The people who facilitated the sidelining of his nuttier demands in the first term will no longer be there. It's going to be all yes men who will just do it, consequence be dammed.

What about the other times Dems had a trifecta, as early as 2020-2022, is what they will say. Or Biden undoing some of Trump's border EOs.

It's a lazy argument but sometimes perception is reality. Why do you think right wing parties continue to make steady incremental gains in Europe?

So. Did you read the EO? It contained 2 main parts. More agents and more wall

How many miles did trump expand the wall? Like 10 miles or so. Big fucking deal..

How about the new parts that just failed with a rain? Note that was discussed in this forum about it. Not going to look it up you can. Btw way I am sure if it cause j posted in the thread…

The EO also fucked up the government for awhile… becuase there was a government shut down that fucked up 10s of thousands of employees…

That EO was a disaster at best. I was glad it was cancelled

Now you talk about the dems and putting in laws. You completely forgot that the first 2 years of trumps administration the gop had all 3 parts of the government… and they got nothing passed or anything. That is something that the dems never had. The GOP is just filled with incompetent turds

Congressional Rs care about cutting taxes and stacking the courts who will achieve their other policy ends without having to lift a finger. Little more.

I was getting increasingly depressed about Dems presidential prospects until my wife told me what she saw in Ohio this weekend. She went to some of the more affluent, white and conservative suburbs of Columbus—Powell, Dublin and unincorporated Delaware County. These are places she’s used to seeing giant Trump flags and banners next to bunting at all times. Since 2016–not taken down after elections. She just got used to it. This trip, she was floored by how many Kamala signs she saw. It was “unusual” as she put it. And Ohio isn’t even in the game (solid R). So maybe we’re reading too much into to one data point, but this was a change from the past 8+ years.

It will get caught up in litigation.

The logistics of some of it are simply not possible.

In true Trump fashion, he'll do the bare minimum and then take credit for it.

These are not considerable barriers to somebody who already is a massive criminal.

Those are heavy suburban areas that swung to Biden in 2020 anyway.

Trump will win Ohio by an even bigger margin than in 2020. I live here, trust me.

I drove straight across it for 15 years before I moved to KY. Shitty ass fucking highways with cops at every other mediun. I've lived here for six years and I drive to Cincinnati and places north to buy weed.

TF does that have to do with your shitty election prediction history?!?!
