Dude looks like a real-life Sam the Eagle.

Man I don't miss cable "news", Fox being the worst but by no means the only turd in the punch bowl.

Good question, what will you do when the inevitable comes and your deus ex machina doesn't happen?
Climate crisis is for real. Total disclosure: I have not driven my car for 29 days, or taken mass transit, or had a ride. My shoes have been getting a workout.

'She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black? I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went — she became a Black personI"

Yeah....my first reaction when I saw he was going to be at this thing was...why? And it didn't take long to realize my first reaction was accurate.

Is he trying to shore up the racist white vote or something? This has "own goal" written all over it, though to be fair how many more black votes can he actually lose. "I respect either one" LO fucking L

In the last ten days I've literally had the best sleep I've had in ages, not so stressed about the shit show that was the election before Biden dropped out. This is so nice. What a weight off a lot of our minds. A lot of work to do, but it does feel a lot better. I have therapy every two weeks and my sleep is a longtime issue, so it was great talking about it with her yesterday.

He's shoring up the support he needs for a war not an election.

He's basically saying, "There will be blood!"

Yeah those suburban crack troops that we saw on Jan 6th I'm thinking might stay home for that. Seeing their fellow patriots getting stiff sentences might have something to do with it.

Or maybe we'll get brigades of F-150s rolling in from the sticks to take over a Walmart in the city?

Most of those people have jobs, and they won't want to lose them...let alone their relatively cushy lives.

Sure there will be a few dangerous loonies, there always are with or without a sore loser causing for a coup.

He doesn't need to shore up the racist white vote, but he probably thinks he can peel off just enough Black male voters to win the EC. As crazy as that sounds as a strategy, it's not entirely implausible. (The data shows that after 2016, Trump lost some white voters but gained minority voters. Figure that one out...)

I'm not a close Kamala Harris watcher but if anything, she has generally proudly rep'd herself as African American more than her mom's South Asian heritage. If I'm wrong about that, I stand corrected.

When Biden was the candidate? Ok, until proven otherwise it's an argument.

Now? Not a snowball's chance in hell.

To be clear, peeling off as much as say 15% more of the Black male vote even in battlegrounds wouldn't be enough. We know his campaign's main strategy is to flip one of the Rust Belt states, and numerically that means working class white voters that could go either way.

My point was more that despite Trump being an explicit racist as POTUS, he gained minority votes in 2020 vs four years prior (I didn't say just Black voters, I said all minorities). There's no rational explanation for it IMHO but it happened.

Agreed with you that vs. Kamala Harris, attacking her Blackness is not helpful in Detroit, Georgia or NC lol.

I still think she'll lose. I'm not celebrating till the evening on Jan 20th.

Naw, the movement in the polls has been astounding, to say the least. Even Faux Spews polls show the dramatic and sudden movement. At this point, I'd be surprised if she lost.

It's wildly exceeded all reasonable expectations IMHO. I hope her campaign will continue to treat the race as a 50/50 coin flip and push hard through the end (I'm sure they will), because there's no reason to spike the football at the 20 yard line.

The Bloomberg poll released yesterday shows all the battleground states are tight now. If the election was held today, there's no reason to be surprised with either outcome. I personally don't have a crystal ball for October/November.
