I have a JVC XV-N55SL right now, it plays DVD+R, -R, +RW, VCD, SVCD, and multisession MP3 CD-RW's with no problems. It plays other things like WMA and DVD-RW, but I haven't tried those.
This JVC looks like a good one. I'd pick it up if I needed another DVD player or knew someone that could use one for Christmas.
Is there any DVD Player out there that doesn't have some kind of pause on the layer changes???
I have noticed the pause on every player I've watched a movie where it's split between layers.
