I hope she does. She just needs to retire.

Why? Is there any indication she is unable to do the job?

Also remember that the Supreme Court is reasonably likely to eventually get involved with Trump’s innumerable scandals and potential impeachment. It’s good for the entire country if he has as few of his own appointees on that court as possible when it comes for him to be judged. I think we can all agree on that.

Well actually she should do what is best for her.

I think she would retire if Trump wasn't in office. Right now I think she is feeling the pressure to stick it out regardless of her health. In the long run that may not be so good for her health... I do wish her the best, she is a trooper!

She needs to do whatever she wants to do.

Sitting at home dying or at work in a job I love, I pick work. I've known many people who have retired and died, some with weeks. Sometimes work provides what's necessary to live.

I honestly hate the political polarization of the supreme court. I would honestly be in favor of wiping it out if I ever felt like they could replace it with reasonable people.

The fact that we seem to consistently have so many 5-4 decisions just tells me how fucked up it is. It honestly shouldn't be that divided so often.

Well in fairness to them the overwhelming majority of US law is settled so they only and up making decisions on the super closely divided stuff. (generally speaking) With that in mind the fact that they are often closely divided isn't the most shocking thing to me.

That being said, the whole high stakes game of hoping the right justice dies or retires is creepy and gross and the Merrick Garland thing was a national embarrassment. As others have floated maybe it's best if we just term limit the justices to like 10 years or whatever.

Maybe, maybe not. The mind can say yes, but the body can dictate no.

She so cheeky. 😛

The young people cry and run to a safe space whenever you tell them something that offends their fragile sensibilities. They're too busy eating Tide pods and snorting condoms to care. All they want is someone to promise them free sh*t so they can live in their parent's basement and play video games.

Tell rednecks that these kids want to ban Bud Light and that they killed Dale Earnhardt and it's game over for the kids.

Why is the world run by these ancient geezers? All they've done for 80 years is F everything up.

Young people should rise up and take over. We are stronger than them. We can beat them up and take back the country. Physically.

I can imagine Ginsberg swearing up a storm an already preparing to take Trump to task an perhaps let Congress have hell too as part of the majority decision.
