whoa we kept temperatures 650,000 miles ago?!?!

Well the idea is that we can extrapolate what the temperature was at the time based on the levels of CO2 present in fossilized remains and ice core samples. It may not be the weather channel but it's the best we can do.

So we are saying that temperatures are out of whack by a couple of degrees using data "extrapolated" from secondhand means?

Bwaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! *cough* *sniff* *catchs breath*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

ACTUAL temperatures are recorded by isotope ratios in ice cores.

I have not heard this.

You are suggesting that heat creates oxygen isotopes when applied to the gases in our atmosphere? Id like a like a link. I have only heard of measuring CO2 levels and predicting the temperature of the earth by using that 1 variable, which is absolutely obscenely stupid. ACCURATE measurment of temperatures would be much more convincing, as they would actually prove that the warming cycle isnt normal.
