Just had a $15 dollar burger. Now exploding from bulk beef.

Here's one in Minneapolis, if you can eat the burger and the half pound of fries, plus another half pound burger, they rename it after you. So each time I go it's usually bigger than when I've been there before. It's been about a year and not sure where it's at now! This was a 5.5lb burger with .5lb of fries for 20 bucks. Me and a few buddies split it, and it's an awesome deal then!

Well, that may be, but it was all I could find around here. Not a huge market for undercooked burgers in this town. 😀

KT

dude, is this where you went?

"Suanne always forbade us to have burgers made medium rare. That was from the safety side of her speaking. She made an exception when we had the $28 burger at DB Bistro Moderne because the waiter said that they made the patties in-house. I guess at a place like Hamilton Street Grill, they grind their beef in-house too."

Saw a pic and it looked just like yours.

Here's my quick research for Vancouver

"Another safe place to order medium-rare is Refuel. Also Vera's has a sign that says "Pink is good" or something like that. (I'm not a fan of their food though)."

The Roxy Burger on Granville

per Chowhound I guess MR is a rarity in your city.

Yep, that's the place.

It certainly is a rarity; most people do not want their burgers anything less than well done around here from my experience. I don't recall MR being an option at Vera's. :hmm:

I walk by Roxy Burger twice a day but have never been there.

welp, if you're ever in the states or Toronto, hit up Morton's for that $15 medium rare beast 🙂

Is that bun a Danish? :\

The meat patties look tasty, nicely charred. I'd need 3 Buddies to eat that though.

The bun was toasted nicely on the outside, and it was just some sort of gourmet bun, and three of us struggled to split it! (I made my buddy eat the bottom bun, pretty sick!)

Every bite was absolutely, disgustingly tasty! The waitress was grossed out even bringing it to the table, haha!

We had a Morton's here that served free burgers (2-6 daily I believe), but I never got a chance to get there before it closed. :\

Ever since I first ate at Bulldogs Grill in Wauconda, all other burgers just taste a bit lame.

Their Double D is a magnificent snack, best served with chilli cheese fries, a bigass shake, and a cold beer.

Last weekend they had an Elk burger special. My uncle had it, it was damn good, but, not as good as the double d.

My cousin had their hangover burger, it looked damn good, but I was damn hungry and a little 1/2 pounder would have left me hungry for more!

I've been there too, the owners are a friend of a friend. Really tasty burgers and the prices are good too.
Damn, now I want to go there for dinner... The Slap-yo-mamma is my favorite, has everything I want/need on a burger

I'm tempted to try the asylum wings.... But, every time I go in there I order a burger because they are so damn good!

As long as the Beef is fresh ground from a steak or roast, Pink/Red burgers are fine. I'd be wanting factory ground to be thoroughly cooked though.

Smart man.

I got sick a couple of times from supermarket ground meat. Then I started grinding my own. 1) Never got sick from it again. 2) Tastes soooo much better. It's like night and day.

So Mr. Ns1, I decided to have a fancy-ass, MR burger at lunch this past weekend. It tasted pretty good, but it was not a burger; it essentially tasted like a very flavourful tartare. Lots of great falvours, but definitelynot a burger.

Man that looks good. Do want!

This is simultaneously the best and worst thread that I've seen lately.

I really need to get myself a good burger ASAP.

Around here, our top burger place is Fuddruckers ... good food, fairly quick service, decent price for what you get. I like my burgers medium rare to medium.

http://www.fuddruckers.com/

Fuddruckers 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 and one pound Fudds Prime burgers are grilled to order and placed on a Fuddruckers scratch-baked bun made fresh daily in Fuddruckers restaurant bakeries – ready for you to pile it high at Fuddruckers free market fresh produce bar.

i don't know why anyone goes to fuckers. $10 for a burger that's not as good as a $5 whataburger and i have to make it myself.

for the price i'd rather go to pappas burger http://pappasburger.com/home/
houston chains > dallas chains

at $15 i'm going a little more upscale:
