I dunno, do Federal employees get christmas bonuses? I haven't worked here a whole year yet....
nope.

I get a yearly bonus that works out to about 2/3 of one normal paycheck. Of course, this being the government we're talking about, they wait until late March to give it to you instead of Christmas when you actually need the money.

Um.... so I get a St. Patricks Day bonus then? 😕
I think they officially term it a "performance-based" bonus. Dunno why it appears when it does; I guess it takes them that long to process the evals from the previous year and cut checks to those who qualify for the bonus. This is the CDC I'm talking about BTW, so it may be different depending on what branch of the gov you work for.

No bonus. No turkey. No stuffing. No box of candy. But, I do get remain employed and come back to work Jan 2, 2003, whereas a good part of America is currently unemployed. I am happy to have a good job.

I work at a call center for Texaco & shell gas credit cards for 4 years. the 1st year the xmas bonus was a $10 gift cetificate for a Randalls(supermarket store) ham or turkey, pretty crappy. the next year was the same thing only for $15. the third year we got $25 shell gas gift cards, pretty usefull. The last year I was there I quit right before xmas but I heard form friends they gave gift certifactes again for ham or turkey but at krogers. I'm glad I do'nt work thier anymore.

To get this thread back on track, Im expecting about 10k. Our trader is gonna get in the 200-300k range :Q

I honestly can't imagine having a life like that...Imagine the boss walking up to you and saying "JONES! Just wanted to tell you that your XMas bonus, $200K has been depostied into your Direct Deposit pay account. Good work, m'boy!" :Q

I'd sell my soul for that kind of money and security....Beezelbub, you listening, son?

Planning for a big fat $0 from this company... last place I worked, I got an $800 bonus and I only worked 20 hours per week! That was a nice company. This one sucks.

Nope. I work indirectly for the Feds and get nothing. My dad got nothing for more then 20 years with the DOD.

A nice crisp $50 bill from the boss (I work part-time, 15-20 hours/week)

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....don't tell the government 😉

Big company... $0 Christmas bonus. All few hundred thousand of us do get a regular annual bonus depending on annual "rating" though. I got $0 for a raise last year too... lucky to keep a job, actually.

Dunno for sure about the timing, but in the UK, the financial years begins in April, so March is the last month of the financial year when I think finances and stuff, taxes, profits etc are finally sorted, so a bonus then would make sense for a business point of view.

No bonus here either [guess I need a job first]. The last time I got a bonus it was $100, and that was before I got a degree ... education, don't let it happend to you. j/k
