I believe my friend's boss makes about $1 million in salary and makes about another 50% or more with a year-end bonus. It's also the entertainment business where money can flow like water and believe it or not, a lot of people don't mind sharing that wealth.

Two turkeys one for thanksgiving and Christmas? I work for UPS in the evenings and I am expecting nothing from my primary job. If a turkey is what i get, its better than a gift certificate
 
The president of my company pulled me aside at our last meeting and dropped hints about paying off the remainder of what I owe on my bike, which is currently around $5,000. He's not the kind of guy to kid around when it comes to money, so I'm kind of anxious to see what actually happens. If he actually does, I hope somebody has some smelling salts handy to wake me back up.

Are you still working for Krispy Kreme?

I won't get my bonus until Jan-Feb. Right now it's slated to be about $300, but it'll go up or down depending on how November and December turned out. I do get my sick pay paid out to me next week. ($200) I don't know if this is common to other businesses, but this is a first for me...

I don't give out Christmas bonuses so I don't expect I'll get anything from me this year.😉

My Christmas bonus is the joy of not having to work for someone else. 🙂
 
As I am an intern I do not expect to get a bonus. My friend did get a bonus last year... he got a $25 gift certificate to PathMart. LOL.

I bet they're letting you go right before Christmas/New Year so they don't have to give you holiday pay. My cousin is recieving a similar ass-f'ing.

Can't they just NOT pay you for the holidays and still keep you as an employee? Many companies do that and I don't think it's illegal unless you have a contract that specifically says it.
 
low 4 figures. I get mine on Friday.

But just purchased a car w/ cash and still paying off the 3 week vacation the wife and I took this summer.


So I spent my bonus months ago.

Something given or paid in addition to what is usual or expected.

Unless it's in your employment contract somewhere, you don't have a right to expect a Christmas bonus.


That being said, I started work on December 1st, and the boss mentioned that I will be getting some kind of Christmas bonus. I'm under the impression that bonuses will be handed out at the company Christmas party on the 19th. I hope it's enough to buy a Turkey! 😀




 
I don't get a bonus, my union keeps $1.60 for every hour I work, call it a Vacation Fund. I get every December First. It was a little over $2300 after taxes this year
