I'm glad I'm not you. I mean, my life has problems, but if I ever get to the point where I consider a trip to WalMart to be a "slice of heaven", I hope someone kills me.

yeah? what is NOT made in china heh.
I have plenty of stuff that wasn't made in China. Most of it cost me more than $8, though.
yes there are items. just not very many. this is not a walmart thing its a US thing. Personally its something i feel we should reverse.
There are plenty of items if you look for them, you're just not going to find them at WalMart. They're also more expensive because it costs a lot more to pay American workers than Chinese workers. For example, I have a bag I bought made by these guys. It cost me $90, but it was made in San Francisco and it's guaranteed for life. I could have gotten a crappier bag for 1/3 the price at WalMart.
If you feel we should reverse the trend of manufacturing jobs moving overseas, speak with your wallet. If you're going to complain on a messageboard and then go buy chinese products at walmart, you're as much a part of the problem as anyone else.

I get my groceries at Trader Joe's and Costco. They're both cheaper than the supermarkets, and the clientele is less obese than at W*lmart.

I avoid my local Super Walmart like the plague. Parking is rediculous. The clientele is unique to WalMart.
What you don't like mexicans and such with their 15 kids?
Or the rednecks in sweats and wifebeaters?

Trader Joes is pretty good too. Besides the local Co-Ops it's the best quasi- health food store there is.

i go to costco and the only processed things i come out with are veggie burgers and chicken sausages. Otherwise it's all meats and veggies. I personally drive 30 minutes out of NYC to the suburbs to go to Costco. The NYC Costco's are as bad as Wal Mart.
TJ's is OK, but Whole Foods beats it by a mile. Whole Foods has the best produce, meat and fish department you can find anywhere. The one in Westchester county has a whole isle dedicated to grains, rice and beans in bulk at nice prices. About 100 different kinds.
