oh lordy!
I feel bad for you.
On my way to work this morning I saw a little old man mowing his lawn. The trees are flowering. Theres more birds outside than humans. Its too nice for this part of the year.

You have less snow on the ground than we normally have by November lol. That's just light flurries.

We got a bit of snow but overall it was mostly just lot of wind. It was on and off all day.

Nice and sunny today, but this morning was balls cold. Warmed up now, only -3C.

Nice to get some light in the morning now though.

Suppose to get more snow throughout the rest of the week and next week.

Normally I'd be fed up with winter by now but we got our snow so late it doesn't even feel like it's almost April. Feels more like November. I also kept pretty busy working on the basement and wood stove install. Lot of misc projects got spawned from that, didn't even touch the garage like I wanted to do this winter.

We had no snow left, that happened in half an hour so it's weird since earlier it was rain.

35 here. snow is melting and mud season has begun and its going to make plowing snow a mess if we get the expected storm overnight.

There was a projected storm today but it seems to have dodged us, and our territory. Was fairly quiet today. Though I still have 2 hours left so maybe I shouldn't jinx it...

We seem to be dodging most of the storm systems lately. Right now it's sunny and very windy and they are calling for snow a bit more south of us like Sudbury area but some might hit here too.

40 - 50 MPH winds, humidity has dropped to 18%, trees down everywhere, after half an inch of rain this morning, which takes down power lines and starts forest fires. Both grandsons are firefighters in the middle of it. I've heard both on the radio, and they are doing their best to protect structures on these heavy wooded mountain sides.

Heard one grandson say the fire was racing toward him, and he was unable to stop it, and advised to abandon his location, the other also unsure if they can defend the structure they are protecting due to fire conditions. I've been in very similar situations during my years in the fire service.

I was a volunteer firefighter for 30+ years, and I fully understand their situation, and I'm nervous. I did my time in the trenches so to speak, and I know they are trained and equipped, very capable young men, but still...

20+ fire departments plus the state forest service are involved, plus departments from other counties, have moved up and are backfilling fire stations to answer any additional calls. There are about 5 fires raging in the county, and all departments in the county are involved, plus they still have to cover their own districts.
