Just curious....how is the weather in your neck of the woods?

It was in the 70's last week. Today I woke up to snow on the ground. Tonight it's supposed to get 19F. Is it spring yet?

5C and somehow, snowing. It's even staying on the ground.

We're in that time of year where we could get hit with a couple feet overnight at any moment. I have a feeling it's coming soon.

Low 50s and light rain. The weather folks are predicting a "wind event" for Saturday...gusts up to around 50 mph.

Forecast for the next week shows around 75/55 for an average, then 60/45 for the following week.

At least two more weeks of not needing heat.

Meanwhile we'll be just below 90, around 88F = 31C in the middle of next week in November in San Antonio. Everyone's talking about how the farmer's almanac is saying we will have a cold winter and maybe snow but it keeps getting hot out here and I'm not buying it.

Can't say I'd like your winter weather when it gets really cold, but I would love that kind of cool you're posting right now (not so much the ice instead of snow I guess though lol). Felt great when the polar vortex came down to Texas and we were at -2C to -4C with 8 cm of snow in February 2021. Didn't feel great not having power half the time that week because of how trash the Texas power grid is, which forced the state to basically shut down for a week, but the weather was great. Loved just slapping a sweatshirt and a beanie on and walking through the snow as it was coming down.

It's tolerable for a day or a few at a time. When it's like that for months on end, it just flat out sucks.

What's interesting is the cold we are getting now is actually worse than the cold we get throughout the rest of winter. I find single negative digits in the fall feel way colder than double digits in middle of winter. Then single digits in the spring feels like tropical weather.
To me the biggest part of winter I hate is the constant darkness though. Dark before work and dark after work. And during the day when there is light out, it's still fairly dark compared to a summer day.

Warm and mild. Sunny days with a high around 80F (26C), lows in mid 60s (18C). It's been comfortable since the few freezes around Halloween.

But by the end of the week, today's lows will be those days' highs. Fall returns. Trees out front of the house are red with fall foliage.

the damp cold like we are getting is playing havoc with my arthritis. At least in winter things stabilize for me. The darkness doesn't bother me that much.

Today we are supposed to have snow, freezing rain and rain all with a high of 2C. This weather sucks but Remembrance Day looks decent enough.

I just went outside for like 1 minute to get a few 2x4s from the garage and I'm FREEZING now. I check the forecast... only -3. Really? It feels way colder than that!

58F = 14C right now in San Antonio. Feels amazing after all those 105F = 40.6C days we had from June to September.

been cold and windy with snow flurries all day here. Had a high of 0C and a windchill of -7C.

Now it's -3C with a windchill of -12C.

I hate the cold now.

-9 feels like -17. Lots of blowing snow and snow squalls etc. We got a few cm of snow, not much but enough to say it's officially winter now.

Also power outage season in Quebec. Get a little snow and entire regions go out for days lol. Hydro map looks like a Christmas tree.
