Just curious.. Did Bush really snort cocaine before?

I don't think he ever actually denied it. IIRC during the last election he pretty much said that he did a lot of things when he was younger, referrign to drug use and drinking.

Pretty much innoculated himself to any drug use "revelations".

I would agree with you, but during his term as governor of Texas, Bush introduced and signed legislation that mandated strict mandatory minimum sentencing for first-time drug and alcohol offenders, the overwhelming majority of whom are usually "young and dumb" as well.

That hypocrisy may be lost on you (among many others), but not on me.

Yeah, I think his phrase was "youthful indescretions." However this covers the time up until he was 35 (hardly a youth..,) at which he changes careers from Service-Dodging Silverspoon-fed Drunken Cokehead to Service-Dodging Silverspoon-fed Fundie Christian Failed Businessman. He managed to be the only person in Texas NOT to hit oil, so used Dad's money (again) to by a baseball team, so he could lounge about and do this!

I'm a libertarian and think it should be legalized. Tired of the government telling me and others what I can and can't do in the privacy of my own house. REpublicans are anti-drug so he was merely towing the party line.

In all seriousness, I don't care what he did so much as what he does. So if he snorted coke, but gave it up years ago, I really don't care. Now if he uses it now (and I do not believe he does) then that would be another matter.
