First car was a 1967 old cutlass station wagon, had actual mags (Magnesium wheels) and an alpine stereo, back windows painted out, had it before I even had a license.

1969 Chevy Sportvan 108 Custom < miss this one badly
1970 Monte Carlo <Rust bucket money pit but so much fun to drive
1971 Nova
1971 Chevelle Malibu 350, buckets and console
1972 Nova
1976 Dodge Colt <total sleeper, deceptively fast little car
1976 Plymouth Fury
1983 Mustang
1987 Camaro T-tops <panty melter
2004 Mustang Mach1 < Fastest car I ever owned

Those are all the ones that I wish I still had.

My list, in order of ownership, with star ratings based on my fondness for them (1-5):

1981 Buick Century wagon - * - I inherited this from my mom in high school and it was a POS in pretty much every respect

1984 Toyota Tercel SR5 wagon - **** - Bought used; this AWD wagon was a great car for college in the midwest, and a lot of fun with a 5 speed

1984 Honda Accord sedan - *** - Bought used with 196,000 miles for $1,500 and generally really enjoyed it - low power but a great manual transmission, good handling, and reasonable comfort and reliability

1999 Acura Integra GS-R sedan - *** - Bought new; kind of a disappointment - great handling, build quality and reliability, but very buzzy as a daily driver; I wasn't sad to have it stolen and stripped

1998 Honda Accord V6 sedan - ** - Bought used; my only automatic-equipped car; sold it after a year; kind of a dull soccer-mom car, and build quality was surprisingly unimpressive

2001 Nissan Maxima SE sedan - *** - Bought new; comfortable, reliable highway cruiser, but kind of a ropey 5-speed, annoying clutch, mediocre interior quality, huge turning radius and disappointing handing for a "sport sedan"

2006 BMW 330i sedan - **** - Bought used as a CPO car and still own; this is a great great car and has been a true friend as a comfy, full-featured daily driver, while also doing well as a HPDE/track day car; let down only by some reliability issues

2002 BMW M3 coupe - ***** - Bought used and still own; I love this car in almost every respect; I kind of wish it steered more like my E90, but overall this thing is a beast and I really enjoy it as a refined muscle car

Worthless post.

My list is:

1998 Acura 3.5rl. I would give it 5/5 stars. It is very reliable with very decent sound system for its age. Has 177K miles. I average 24mpg on it combined(Better than EPA's 21 rating). Great for winder driving. Does not panic in crosswinds.

1973 Jaguar XJ6 4.2Litre. I would give it 9000/5 stars. Nuff said.

Long story. Here are the CliffsNotes:
  • Made a ton of money shooting weddings. Bought car.
  • Paid car off in something like 6 months
  • Came to college. Realized weddings didn't payout as much here
  • Parent's were looking for a car. Sold it to them.
  • Went car free till January. Bought the Civic ($7k 45k miles)

Found a job pretty quickly. I ended up not needing as much cash as I thought.
The change in cost of gas and cost of insurance is much welcomed 😀

1995 Ford Taurus- Grocery getter with the 3.8L DOHC. Fast until the motor went
1996 Chysler Sebring Coupe- 2.5L V6. Thought I was fast and furious. More then likely looked like a tool
1990 GMC Suburban- Old body style. Was my hick truck. Still wish I had it.
1991 VW Golf- Bought as a project. Was a go-cart with a body. Miss this car the most. Just a fun car to drive
1992 Plymouth Laser RS- AWD Turbo. Fun money pit. Would never own one again though unless I had a bunch of money.
1996 Buick Skylark- Plain jane car. Good car though.
2001 Dodge Stratus R/T- Was my Sebring on steroids. 3.0L 5spd. Would never own another one ha ha.
2002 Jeep Liberty- Love my lil KJ. Starting its transformation in to a camping/overland rig. Will hold on to this one for a while.

More to come lol. In the eight years I have had my license I have owned 8 vehicles. Do not plan on slowing down anytime soon. I love cars and get ADD with them. Always looking for my next vehicle.

That is one big list.

Do you replace your cars every 2 years or what?! :awe:

At one point I was buying and selling cars every 6 months or so. Buy one because it was cheap, needed a home, and had potential for profit.

For instance, one car I left off the list, a mid-'90's VW Golf. Bought it for $1400 at the time. Very dirty and full of trash, needed work like power door lock vacuum pump didn't work, tuneup, etc.

Spent two days just cleaning, fixed all its little problems.....drove it for 4-5 months and then sold it. Realized about $3K in profit on that one.

I just enjoyed fixing up beaters to be not-quite-beaters and got bored with them easily after I'd worked on them and they had nothing left to do to them. So, sell them and buy another.

But, as I've gotten older, the "fun" of fixing up neglected decent cars has lost its gleem, so I've pretty much quit......that and I've drifted over to boats and do the same thing.

Also forgot a 1993 Ford Taurus wagon from my list. And a crappy Ford Ranger, circa 1996, that I really, really tried hard to forget.
