Why do you have to choose one thing or another? Can it not be that Bundy repeatedly violated land law and participated in a standoff and also that the feds repeatedly violated his rights during prosecution such that a fair trial can no longer be expected. That's a moral quandary, but it's one that our founding fathers were quite clear on intent. It is more important to protect the rights of the guilty. I agree with them on this one. I want justice for Bundy too, but we can't have that without sacrificing accountability for abuses of prosecution.
