What the fuck...........man fuck you. Just because my parents believed in whipping my butt with a belt and I believe the same doesn't make anyone a failure. And as far as her being being disabled I stated clearly I just looked at the video, but didn't read about the particulars.

And also. My oldest daughter is 22 years old and doing very good. And my little one is a true blue chipper, 🙂. I raised children to adulthood. I have been successful where most of you ain't even got kids. And on the parent front they produced 3 successful kids, and my other siblings graduated from college. They worked their fingers to the bone. Raised us in town with a better public school, so we could do better in life than them. Worked two jobs to help support college. Just because someone believes in this one aspect of child rearing doesn't make them wrong. You and half these other creeps hope you'll be half the parents mine are. My mom has done more for familes in a year than most you will your entire lives. I expect better out of you. So of these other ones well................. But you need to take a step back and slow your overall judgement because someone sees a different point than you.

Classy, I believe she waited out the statute of limitations on purpose. She did not want him to get convicted, just to get him out of public office.

The fact that you believe this, and the fact that you're such a moron, suggest to me your parents failed you both genetically and in parenting. Your own sense of appropriate parenting is completely warped. I can't see any explanation for that other than that your parents were both stupid and abusive.
 
You know classy we've had our disagreements over the years but the one thing I always admired you for was an obvious love for your wife and daughter(s?). Even if we found plenty to disagree on at the end I could tell myself your heart was in the right place.

With that background, your views in this thread are frankly hard to believe. My parents spanked me too, but it was never the rage-driven beating that this video shows. I can only recall once ever my parents losing their temper and becoming physical - My mom slapped me. And a few hours later when she had calmed down she felt absolutely horrible about it. That's a normal implementation of corporal punishment.

If yours was anything like what is depicted here then you experienced something no child should.

I will say this, up to the first 1:56 when he is hitting her and trying to get her on the bed to bend over and take a beating is excessive, but tolerably legal. I wouldn't do it, but he is trying to get her to do an action and is administering a corrective action with a whipping every moment she doesn't react to his instructions. His vulgarity and slapping her in the face at 1:57 and threatening her to hit her in the face at 1:57 until the mother comes in crossed the line.

After the mother gets the daughter to bend over and administers a spanking, albeit in the most degrading manner the parents could do so, that should have been the end of the punishment. Both parents leave for a minute.

The the father comes back full of rage because he just realized that he didn't have his daughter submit to HIS will. He states at 3:12, "I didn't get my licks in" as if it is something he particularly enjoys doing. From this point on it is pure child abuse. He has stated he is now hitting her NOT for punishment, but because he is enjoying hitting her. She complies a second time to get over on her stomach and he smacks her at 3:19. At which point he comments that he is going "to beat her into submission." This is NO LONGER PUNISHMENT used to correct a incorrect behavior on part of a child. This is pure and simple child abuse. He proceeds to hit her further. This is ILLEGAL and he should go to jail for this. Once you are making physical threats and acting upon them beyond the bounds of behavioral control you are no longer administering corporal punishment. You are abusing someone with mental and physical abuse at that point.


EDIT further note, he hits her in the back of the head with the hand holding the belt at 4:22. It was off camera but it sounded like the actual buckle of the belt striking her head as well.

Agree with Viper--punishment should never be done out of anger or, as much as can be avoided, when angry, especially when the punishment is physical.

I have my own views on spankings and such, but regardless of what the daughter in the video did, the punishment was out of line and, perhaps more importantly, counterproductive. The purpose of discipline is to teach your children when and what they've done wrong in order to 1) have them understand why it's wrong (ideally but not always), 2) have them avoid doing it again, and 3) help them to turn themselves into better people because of it. What occurred in the video failed on essentially all fronts.

But here is the thing Viper, everybody "assumes" he did this regularly. I stated that multiple times, he clearly was irate here, but no one knows all of what led to this. We have a woman who posts something that happened 7 years ago. Why now? If this was "normal" why wait this long? Or was this her way of catching her father out of character, to now get some revenge. Is this the first parent to take something to umpteenth degree?
 
The best part is when he said that he was going to get another belt...lol That shit was hilarious.

Anyway, typical Conservative punishment there. He didn't kill her, yeah he's a dick, but whatever. I can't really get angry at that. I wish the parents in my neighborhood would beat their dirty ass children like that.

I wonder if he sexually abused her as well. The video shows that he isn't too fond of her (beating her just for the sake of beating her) and he does this kind of weird shit for his own enjoyment. It doesn't seem like much of a logical jump to assume he's also a pedo.
 
The fact that only two people in this thread condone these actions is pretty telling. They were obviously beat in a similar fashion as a child.

I can't believe that anyone would view this as acceptable. That wasn't a spanking, it was a beating.

Yes it's a jump of logic but not one in gross error. It could be true, but until we know it is I wouldn't call him that. What we do know from the video is he beats the daughter constantly for almost 2 minutes. After waiting another minute comes BACK saying he didn't "get his licks in" and beats her some more. At which he later hits her in the back of the head at least once. This is someone that enjoys abusing others for which is ex-wife, who was the woman we saw in this video, has commented that he has done this repeatedly during their marriage to her and her daughters.

So we don't only have the word of the daughter but the word of the mother stating that he beat his wife and children abusively.

He's a sick fuck that needs to go to jail. And anyone that defends his actions should probably be sharing a cell with him.

The girl wasn't crying for several minutes.... The video isn't even more than 8 minutes long. And about 5-6 of those minutes do not even involve the belt being used.

Dude, come on. This was not "just a spanking" by any stretch of the imagination. You're not supposed to treat your children like that! The only explanation for the people that think this type of behavior is OK is that they were treated the same way as a child. Where's Dr. Drew when you need him? lol

I have nothing against spankings. They last a minute, 30 seconds even. You don't wail on your child for several minutes. This was a prolonged beating, plain and simple.

No one condone this. And you refer to the video, he didn't really blow his top till she refused to let him smack her on the rear. I raised a child all the way to adulthood. Its easy to sit and look at that video and cast all kind of judgement. But I been there, this dude lost his cool. But most posting some of this nonsense ain't parents and don't have the first clue.

Let me know when you get the first accident bill and they weren't suppose to be driving the car. Let me know when they lose, literally several hundred bucks while on a trip. Get your first whopper cell bill. Let me know when you hear the boyfirend and his friends swing by at 3 am in the morning. Let me know when you go through these situations without losing your cool. And I can post many many other wonderful opportunitys.

I said very plainly at her age, he is wrong here. But I don't have a problem with someone hitting someone with a belt. But I say all that not to say I fully condone this, but as a parent, I can understand his slip here.
