At what point do NYC residents become upset at the total laziness of the most expensive police force in the country simply not doing its job? My guess is probably never because they are a special class now.

I was in NYC for a week this year and rode the subway constantly during that time racking up dozens of rides all over the core of the system. I saw cops on the platform once, clotted together in the mezzanine on their phones, and not one time on an actual train.
How many times were you robbed and killed?

We’ll be going to NYC in January and I want to start planning ahead.

I mean, at what point do NYC residents get upset at (name an issue with the city government)? They seem to have a high tolerance for the extremely shitty job being done across the board, and even more tolerance for decades of police incompetence.

99% of the time you'll be safe though but still keep an eye out and ignore your instincts at your own peril.

If you don't like the characters around you.. go inside a store and order an uber.

That's why I'm pissed and will not be voting for dems locally except the DA and state senator.

But we need a change in the city council, mayor, governor's office badly.

The problem is the type of people that the city produces as politicians which cuts across partisan lines. The Rs suck just as bad.

Anyway you guys are probably gonna have another clown show mayoral election where the main choices are Adams who flips R vs Cuomo lmao. Who would have thought that the steady hand of Bill de Blasio could be yearned for?

I'd rather have a competent asshole vs an incompetent asshole running things anyday.

And just like America.. with how bad shit has gotten.. I'm okay with this ass grabbing if he fixes things. Atleast he's not grabbing them by the pussy!

Cuomo was so competent he flushed his career down the toilet, like so many NY pols that have come before him, in the stupidest ways possible.

Hard to argue with that assessment.

The only one I look fondly on is Bloomberg.

Good to know about the WiFi. I can keep working after death until work from home gets banned.

Wanna bet Fox News would go ballistic if a black person killed this woman. Based on the Penny verdict justified, right??

What we need is someone willing to get the PBA, SBA, etc. decertified.

No mayor, regardless of political party, will be able to control the NYPD until that happens. What they will do is what all police unions do when politicians do things they don't like - they will stop doing their jobs, allow crime to skyrocket and for the citizens they are sworn to protect to be victimized and killed until the mayor gives them what they want.

The trick here should be to get them to do that and then actually fire them all and force them to reapply for their jobs without a union.

Someone I'm dating works for a big non-profit in the city and is on the schmoozing side of things with fundraising as well as keeping their causes in the forefront of their minds. It's a NYC focused non-profit that focuses on the poor and homeless.

She was at an event with the current crop of dem nominees and said they are all terrible. Stringer has some good stuff but he is a fossil and just too old, and since candidates do matter, is risky.

She knows her fucking politics very very well too.

For the record Lenny is the piece of shit. Interesting role reversal isn’t allowed in America.
Please would you expand on this?
Living in a liberal area with a black son in law?
A son in law that is in law enforcement

I asked the question of the people cool with Penny killing Neely, in the video with the racist Karen verbally assaulting indian americans is it
ok to kill her? As a reminder here is the episode. Same act on the subway in both cases.

My opinion if we are going to allow Penny to kill over verbal assaulting when racists verbally assault people of color we should allow the same right to kill. Penny was trained in applying a chokehold. He didn’t have to kill Neely. People trained in applying chokehold are trained to apply without killing the person all the time. Ever see an MMA match? IMO Penny wanted to kill Neely.

What is your opinion?

Right, we have squirrel and the golden retriever for beating up shoplifters. And happy for this verdict. No reason not to whack this racist lady.
