You do realize that hitting a cop with a car can actually take a cops life, right? A good portion of officers are killed each year by cars and traffic wrecks. Is it still funny to you?

Looking at the method of conversation, the reporter did not ask a question that resulted in him getting slapped. Instead, the reporter purposely made a strong, derogatory, and provocative statement that insinuated ridicule and contempt of the wrestler and the wrestling profession. The reporter purposely provoked the wrestler and was subsequently surprised at the ensuing physical assault. I am not sure what else could have been expected of the wrestler since I doubt an intellectual discussion could possibly have been expected.

Additionally, the wrestler was clearly nervously agitated and excited before the reporter made his statement. It seems to me the reporter was looking for trouble.

I do not agree with the wrestler's response nor find anything in that video funny. I do think the reporter did not properly use his education to control the wrestler's actions through a respectful and non-confrontational dialog. It is possible the reporter mistakenly stepped outside the boundaries of his discussion skillset in an attempt to make the interview more sensational for television and the wrestler was probably concerned of being made a fool by a skinny wimp through directed intellectual dialog.
