The few times I've been able to listen to his nasally voice for more than 30 seconds I've found myself wondering if he's pathologically unable to say anything true. He lies like Trump lies. Blatantly, obviously, only the stupidest of stupid fucks would believe him. But he says it like he believes his own lies.

I just background-listened to about 40 minutes of the OP vid. Here's the positions he took:

- Labels: "Democrat" "Republican" "Alt-Right". Labels stifle discussion.
- How we don't accept apologies and the negatives of that: incentivizes denial, dishonesty, downplaying things. Assumes changing is impossible. Someone (democrat) was in a racist picture in high school doesn't necessarily mean he is a racist asshole for life. But in today's political environment, there is zero incentive to admit what you did and explain how you've changed. It's the right thing to do, and it leads to the people without conscience remaining in charge.
- Talks about how if they can't pin something directly evil on someone they say "well some of your followers do x so therefore you are evil". You are only responsible for what you actually say and believe.
- Discussed de-platforming as a political weapon (especially anyone who is not on the democrat "team")
- Part of this: a troubling move toward the theory that you are ethically/criminally responsible for what your "followers" or "commentors of your post/video/tweet/etc..." say
- Basically, it is impossible for an individual to enforce that people who agree with him on a certain topic are not assholes
- It is a shit argument that assholes agreeing with your point makes you an asshole. Argue against the point, not against assholes who also like that point. (My point: all assholes on earth agree with Pipeline1010 that breathing air is good. My advocacy of breathing air does not make me an asshole EVEN IF Nazis agree with me on this point.)
- Marijuana
- Doesn't like it
- Not government's business to make people not do it
- Thinks young people need to avoid it.
- Hates PCP and Heroin but thinks government sucks at preventing drug use...stop criminalizing
- Same sex marriage
- Opposes it
- Yet believes it is not governments business. Also: doesn't believe in pre-marital sex or adultery -- also believes it is not government's business to enforce those, too.
- Doesn't like the idea of government forcing his synagogue to hire same sex marriage people. Government stay out of marriage from all angles.
- His government marriage license doesn't mean much to him. His Jewish marriage license means a lot to him.

What pathological lies do you see in the first 30s of OP's vid? What part of this do you think only the stupidest of stupid fucks believe? Do you literally oppose all of this? Do you oppose ANY of this?

Yeh, anything to avoid introspection. And, for the love of God, don't look too closely at your traveling companions, either. It might cause a person to question what they believe.

If your belief is wrong, people should attack your belief. The "ooh look who agrees with you sometimes" argument is a substantially weaker position to take than a "your belief sucks because it is wrong and here's why". It is one of the lazier and less logical forms of attack you can employ. I am personally guilty of this in the past and I'm working on getting better.

Did you have any other problems with his positions? Maybe you disagree with his position that government shouldn't disallow same sex marriage? Or perhaps you hate the marijuana and you want our government to continue to ruin the lives of non-violent people who use it?

In case you missed it, my response was to someone who said (and I quote): "He lies like Trump lies. Blatantly, obviously, only the stupidest of stupid fucks would believe him." I was attempting to provide a somewhat more moderate and accurate perspective on his viewpoints in an attempt to show that while even the stupidest of fucks would believe him, even smart fellers like you and I can agree with him on some stuff. Even if he isn't on "our team".

Personally like him out of all the other fellow Anti-SJW group - or as lefties will call them, Nazis.

Which I mean, Ben Shapiro is the biggest Nazi of all.

EDIT: List of similar people, most of which are registered democrats politically: https://intellectualdarkweb.site/vanguards-of-the-intellectual-dark-web/
You are a reasonable dude... please stop with the all leftish bs... the people on "the left" here are likely intelligent reasonable dudes as well... stop being so angry all the time..

He's just a very good social media manipulator who parlayed it into appearances on cable news while having a spouse who actually did something with her life to fall back on....

I've noticed that many modern conservatives are drawn to the appearances of success and intelligence rather than any actual underlying strength. Shapiro, Peterson, even Trump (for the success part, not intelligence)... it doesn't matter if you lie constantly or make dubious arguments, just so long as you appear successful.

Someone didn't watch the video... naughty naughty.

Also FWIW - looks like the Dem candidate Andrew "Universal Income" Yang will be on the Ben Shapiro show

If you some substance check out Joe Rogans's interview of Andrew Yang. Not a fan of Shapiro, while he sounded a little more normal talking to Joe he's still a reactionary flame thrower. His version of AOCDS is all I need to see. I don't see a similar rant of Trump which I would expect if he is so "thoughtful" and "intelligent"

There’s been several posters in here claim he’s a liar without mentioning what he lies about. What are some examples of him lying? And your list is a good synopsis of the first hour of the video, is he lying about any of it since he’s a “pathological” one as someone mentioned?

He mentioned in the vid a list that he keeps of dumb things he’s said which I think is a good honest approach of self reflection. I found it here, not sure if this is the most current

https://www.dailywire.com/news/33362/so-heres-giant-list-all-dumb-stuff-ive-ever-done-ben-shapiro

I can understand people disagreeing with him and that’s perfectly fine, but it seems many go for character attacks instead of trying to argue the points he makes.

Also from Ben Shapiro (from the link in my post you quoted):

The 'Militant Gay English' Column. This one was written when I was 19. It's embarrassing and stupid. Now, it's not embarrassing to point out that a huge number of college English classes have been perverted toward far-Left social justice indoctrination. They have. But this column is a pretty embarrassing attempt at humor. In particular, the wildly overstated closing lines of the column -- "If your child majors in English, you're sponsoring the militant homosexual agenda" -- are embarrassing. Sometimes, humor just falls flat, and overstatement as an artistic tool simply looks ridiculous. This column proves it.

Its a dumb statement and no doubt if you comb through his multiple thousands of tweets and articles and such you’ll find more. He made the point in the Joe Rogan interview that yeah he’s human like everyone else and has no doubt wrote lots of dumb stuff, reaching back and finding something dumb from 10 years ago and saying "yep see, weapons grade dumb guy!” isn’t much of an arguement on anything. I’m sure I can pick through ecogen and fskimospy's posts over he years I can find all sorts of dumb stuff as well, what does that really show though?

These seem to be examples of him making stupid/dumb statements which we all do. A couple of you in this thread said he’s a pathological liar though which is certainly different and nobody’s really offered up anything to show that. That he consistently and knowingly lies about things doesn’t line up with my limited knowledge of him and what I’ve seen. Maybe you guys have watched a different YouTube vid than me and if so I’d love to watch too.

Edit: and I’m not defending his position on climate change either, I haven’t seen much of his positions on that topic but I understand his opinion is that the science isn’t in yet. If that’s his actual position and I’m not mistaking then I disagree with it. My point is that combing through old tweets doesn’t prove anything and is a lazy gotcha way of arguing. People say dumb stuff and the unfortunate thing about the internet is that it’s permanent and free for people to reach back and cherry pick and say see. There is no such thing as a person who hasn’t said stupid things.

Israelis like to build. Arabs like to bomb crap and live in open sewage.
-Ben "Totally not a racist" Shapiro

Btw feel free to go through my post history, you won't find anything remotely close to the fucking idiocy Shapiro displays on a regular basis. You know why? Because I tend to keep my mouth shut about things I know nothing about, and when I do talk about them, it's usually me asking to learn more on the subject not fucking lecturing people with shit I pulled out of my ass.

I have tons more of these quotes so keep replying. I'll try to up my nickname game as well.

He addresses that quote in the video, I encourage you to watch it.

And no I won’t keep replying to your quotes, theres no point. Nor am I going to dig through your posts because that too would be pointless, but I have no doubt you’ve said stupid things in your life. And I’m sure some of those stupid things weren’t just you asking questions to learn more. Thats ok too, people are human. It seems some of you guys pretend to be these infallible divine beings which is absurd.

Yeah, I'm sure he addresses it. The fact that he posted something like that in the first place is abhorrent, and I can tell you for a fact I've never said anything close to that in my entire fucking life.

Also, how the fuck am I pretending to be an infallible divine being? I would argue that the people that think they know everything about every subject are doing that, case in point: Ben fucking Shapiro. I literally said that when it comes to things that I'm not very knowledgeable on (and they are a ton) I usually keep my mouth shut, ask and listen because I realize I'm not qualified to express an opinion.
In contrast, Ben doesn't give a fuck about whether he's qualified on a specific subject or not, he just spouts his bullshit with such conviction that you'd think the words came to him from God himself. That's what pisses me off with clowns like him.

Oh and, lest I forget:
The Jewish people has always been plagued by Bad Jews, who undermine it from within. In America, those Bad Jews largely vote Democrat
-Ben "Good Jew" Shapiro

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Looking forward to continue this tomorrow, I've still got a ton of leftover quotes.

I hate the term Nazi. It’s used to label people because of it’s obvious terrible meaning but aside from the small group of Neo Nazis that exist there aren’t frickin Nazis. It’s just like how in the 50s everyone was called commies even if they aren’t communist at all. It’s a label throw out to reduce the conversation down to “bad guy” and doesn’t accurately reflect the person or situation. I feel the same way about how Antifa is being used to label everyone on the left even if they have nothing to do with them and probably disagree with them.

They discuss this some in the video about the use of labels on people. Definitely encourage y’all to watch even if you disagree with the guy.

sounds like you hate the name more than you hate the actual concept of Nazism or actual Nazis. In fact, the utterance of the name offends you so much, that it blinds you to the reality of actual Nazis at your fucking doorstep. You refuse to believe they exist, because your first and last reaction is that when you hear the word "Nazi" you immediately assume that the term is being misused.

People like you is why Charlottseville happens. It's why you consistently refuse to admit that those were Nazis, and that Nazis in the use are very real, and very much emboldened by President Trump. Accept this fundamental, undeniable fact, and perhaps people will start to treat you as honest participant around here.

There may be Neo-Nazis or white supremecists or KKK etc at my doorstep. If there’s an actual Nazi he’d have to be 90 years old. Yes any of the above is repulsive, but incorrectly applying a term to add emotional umph is lazy. Especially when you take that and start applying it to everyone. The right does the same thing with antifa, they start labeling anyone on the left protesting as antifa because it’s obviously more inflammatory and riles people up. This happened in the 50s where people were labeled commies left and right. So yes the term is being misused and no Nazis don’t exist, they were a political party that took control of Germany and did the worst atrocities in human history and were subsequently eradicated via the Allies in WW2. Unless that’s what you’re actually referring to.

Ahhhh.... that's the stuff. Put in my veins!

Quibbling between Neo-Nazis and Nazis! Yes! Context IS meaningless compared to "terms"!

Now we just have to find the topic that will drag both UC and RB into a quibble vortex!

I like how we're somehow the ignorant ones, simply because we don't want to give attention to someone who has repeatedly, over a period of many years, spouted complete nonsense. So no matter what he's said or done, we should apparently still spend time listening to his points in the hope that the latest batch isn't the total nonsense he's said so often before.

Edit: I even decided to give you and him the benefit of the doubt and look at some of his recent comments in an interview. It's largely full of straw men arguments. Two of the first arguments I came across were that the LGBTQ group thinks their opinion deserves more weight because they were and are discriminated against. That's not true at all, they want to be treated as equals. Then he tries to argue against the idea that every black person is individually discriminated against by the US. That's not the argument either. The reality is the being black simply makes it more likely that you will suffer discrimination, the 'left' doesn't claim that every single individual is being persecuted.

Then he talks about how white, straight men are somehow at the bottom of the barrel in terms of being listened to. Whereas the reality is that that minority group is actually the loudest and most powerful voice in this country, and will continue to be so for a long time yet, despite the trend toward more equal representation for everyone else.

So, it looks like he's still spouting nonsense even in the last year or so. So he can't feel that bad about the stupid stuff he said when he was younger, because he's still doing it consistently now. Whether it's through outright denial of the facts or just creating silly arguments that he can pick apart easily to appear like he's right.
