All of us want people to know the suffering that they have caused and to take accountability for it. I think @brycejones position is motivated by this desire. I know it well, myself. I have learned that we do not have to power to force this desire upon a criminal. And I have had abundant experience where my shortcomings were wrongly attributed to malice. Arpaio is extremely unpopular overall in Arizona but last time I checked he was quite popular with the Republican base. If we're lucky we will get another Roy Moore situation here where the Republicans are forced to nominate the worst possible candidate.

It's frankly amazing how the Republican base is seemingly actively trying to throw control of the Senate to the Democrats.

One. David Alcorn was convicted of stalking. And I misspoke. They have 4 people who have been convicted of crimes, not felonies, which includes Arpaio who was obviously pardoned. Think only one was a felony.
