Basically as long as your manager approves it you can leave and get paid. A couple of people have taken 4 weeks off to go to Europe or when their wife had a baby. I usually take 3 weeks off every year and I havent called in sick in like 10 years. So its nice that I have the option for more time but I am sure I will be pretty conservative about it.

Congrats on the job.

I called in sick last year for the first time at a job in fifteen years and they did not even mark it down. I had an awful stomach virus and it wrecked me. So, I have not called in sick to work at my current job then according to them. I worked so much overtime they did not mark it down.

I do not get paid if I do not go to work.

Yeah, its been pretty easy since that number is hovering somewhere around 0 🙂

Well that makes it easy. Do you have a bachelors degree? Instead of going straight for the PMP you might want to go for the CAPM first. It has less hours of project experience required.

Congrats OP! The Provo area is beautiful with lots of hiking trails and good skiing not too far away.
