If you post on ArsTechnica’s EV articles then you know this is why EVs will never work for the masses.

You never know when you’ll have to perform emergency interstate trombone repair and that extra 30 minutes of charging will cause you to be late, losing you business and eventually bankrupting you. This is of course a normal thing that regular people do frequently which is why EVs won’t work for regular people. (This was a famous argument that someone made several years ago that gets brought up fairly frequently still)
