Good point. My wife has an extremely active driver's imagination, at least when I'm driving. Apparently, everyone who makes the slightest deviation while driving is going to crash into us!

I jest, but I get your point.

No joke ... to most 4-wheeled drivers you are:

(1) invisible 98% of the time 🙄

(2) an annoyance/obstacle for the remaining 2%! 😳

The first year or so of riding are when a motorcycle-rider is BY FAR the most likely to get creamed and not coincidently approx the time it takes to learn the above!

I recall back when all I was riding was mini dirt bikes (USUALLY off road!) and read a lot of motorcycle mags.

A columnist was talking about how he used to kill time while riding in heavy traffic by making up hairy situations and his best survival options if they happened.

One day he spotted a mattress on the back of a truck in front of him and started thinking about what he would do if it suddenly came flying.

Pretty sure you see where this is going ... apparently it IS possible to ride an RD-400 over an old mattress at 50 mph! (option B would have been attempting to swerve)

Drunk, on drugs, horrible depth perception, dumb as a box of rocks??
I actually witnessed something like that in real life. I was walking down a sidewalk. On my right, is a straight highway. On my left, an Exxon gas station. Car is at Exxon exit. Another car is traveling straight up the highway. Car at Exxon exit enters street and gets hit.

That will serve her well... because they will.

I drove a fire truck for years. Lights & Sirens (electronic and Q1) plus dual Grover Stuttertone air horns in the bumper, and I didn't proceed through an intersection till the driver actually stopped and looked at me. There are many vehicles with a person in the driver's seat, but they are not driving

Yeah probably Robbie's, position to highway seems dead on.

Long as you don't get tagged by gill plates you'll be ok, but yeah, part of me wishes lemons would start hanging out there and eating. Think we'd see that intentional offering of arms stuff dry up real quick.

Ever since Robbies was bought by new owners, it's just become a stupid tourist trap. They now charge you to even go out on the dock where the fish come. It's super crowded now and the food is also crap. I don't recommend it anymore.

Like 5-7 years ago it was so much cooler of a spot.

That's what I heard through the grapevine via Islamorada. Charging for small bucket of sawbellies is one thing, but having to pay just to come look at the tarpon? They must be trying to dissuade gigantic crowds, which makes sense as that place is not big. And/or new owners are just greedy dickbags.

I do miss the fishing, the diving, but since the late 90's that place has become way too Daytona for me. Can defintely do without the assholes from Miami who come down and act like they own the place on weekends. Bar fights and car/boat accidents always seem to accompany them. Done with it.

I always hated that part. I mean, that flick was fucking terrible, but obvious dumb shit like this from characters who were much smarter when they were way better written, just ruined that shitty movie more than anything.

Some really horrendous acting in that movie, the girl that played Rogue there in particular. Still can't believe she went on to get more work.
