Both can do the same thing...
Without some kind of replacement metal parts, the fix is to never press down on a good control stick! If it starts to feel even a little less than perfectly smooth, take it apart, clean it out, and lubricate it before it starts grinding away. Educate your friends and DO NOT let them play Mario Party!
Believe it or not it's not for the silver, it's because of these things:
1) The Mac has hardware in it the PC does not, Apple motherboard etc.
2) The Mac can run OSX, the PC cannot (not properly)
3) The Mac has been upgraded using expensive apple branded RAM etc, which IRL people shouldn't bother doing, the PC is a custom build using better value parts.
4) Apple RAID Cards are retardedly expensive, it's about $700
5) the 5870 is designed to run with an EFI, again making it more expensive.
6) The monitors used are not comparable, just because they are the same size, it's like saying a ford fiesta and an Aston Martin are comparable because they have the same number of doors.
7) What Xeon processors? You can get Xeon Processors for £10 or £2,000 depending on which ones.
8) Apple cases cost more.
I think that covers everything but I summed it all up with this statement:
Ones a Mac.
OH! And except for the RAID card my Mac Pro has all of that and cost me.... £2,500 or so![]()
They can do the same thing, but the Mac can also run OSX properly.
OSX must be one fuck of an OS if it carries a $6k premium.
3 of those points are basically "it costs more because it costs more"

... i don't get it. all three kids said stupid stuff... what's the joke here?
Well no, one of them is, two of them are "it costs more because they are using expensive parts"
It doesn't read my previous post, I made a list of reasons why it's $6k more...
I don't see a "reason" that an Apple RAID card is expensive nor do I see a "reason" that Apple memory is so expensive. An acknowledgement that it is expensive because it is Apple is hardly a justification.

its because there isnt a reason, its the same memmory (and virtually the same mobo) and the same raid card (only difference being the drivers, OSx vs Win), apple simply charges more because they know idiots will pay for it
its the same reason the SSD upgrade costs 2x as much as buying the drive yourself
I guess we are just assuming that these prices are accurate?
