there's no such thing. i correct people every time i hear that excuse. i tell them there's no such thing as "big boned," unless they have a serious, terminal, pathological bone condition.

How many skeletons have you examined?
Some people have larger, heavier skeletons than others, even controlling for height. It's certainly not going to account for morbid obesity but I've seen variation in fresh skeletons account for 10-20 pounds of extra weight on taller men who are slightly built vs very robust.
