Ugh. I'm really starting to miss UPN and the WB! Whenever they had a show with HALF as good ratings as Jericho or Drive, they would keep it on for years :(

I wish that they would finish off the storyline with a half season and put it on a cable network and/or iTunes.

Arrgh... How can this show die off when dreck like Lost keeps getting renewed season after season?

The sad thing is that Jericho will probably be replaced with yet another CSI clone :|

Sucks that it got cancelled. Was one of the best serial shows, along with Criminal Minds and CSI (the real one), on the network.

:(

I hate the fact that it ends on a massive cliffhanger. I'm just going to assume that the military killed everyone from both towns and recovered the nuke. Then the military would get killed by swarms of radioactive, mutant zombies from Denver. I really wish I could have seen the battle between the military and the zombies... :(

I have it on good authority that they filmed a feature length movie to give closure to the series. It was about the human repopulation of Denver and getting rid of all the mutant zombies there.

However, when the show got cancelled they obviously couldn't release Jericho: The Radioactive Mutant Zombie Movie, but they'd already filmed it. So what they did was overdubbed the whole thing with british accents and inserted a few scenes about a virus instead of the Nuclear Bomb Zombies.

Just hit theaters a week or so ago.

This means I will probably never watch another new 'continuation' type series. That makes for Invasion and Jericho getting cancelled and leaving you wondering wtf was supposed to happen.

Thank you American Idol, Survivor, etc. viewers for making this possible. Bring on more "REALITY" shows pronto!

I wish Sci-Fi or someone would pick up Jericho. What could be the budget per episode. They already paid for the tank :)

If Heroes got canned I would cry. Seeing Hiro learn Samurai skills from Sulu was the best TV I can remember in a long time.

Ya, no kidding.

Perhaps the concept of a "Series" should change. Instead of an Open-ended story to be milked for Max Seasons. Instead, how about a Story started and finished in 1 Season? If their is enough interest in the Show, bring it back next Season as a Sequel and with another Story to be Started/Finished that Season. Repeat as necessary.

Starting something and not Finishing it just sucks balls and will kill Viewer Interest in new Shows.

Gawd Damnit. Shitake Mushrooms and all that.

Jericho was an awesome show! Watching TV these days has become a lost art due to Survivor, American Idol, and who could forget Flava of Love.

I'd like to thank Hollywood for coming up with rehashed money makers instead of entertaining me.

Jericho was killed because they broke the suspense. The long hiatus killed the momentum that people were really loving. Just drives me crazy that good shows like Jericho and Drive were cancelled, yet Survivor 37th season with its corny tribal council goes on strong. Ugh...another one that is going to rank up there like Firefly.

I wish networks didn't care as much about ratings but instead how good the show is. If the show is good then it gets renewed. If it's bad then it gets cancelled. Obviously there is some correlation between ratings and how good a show is. But what I would like is less emphasis on the ratings with the idea that a great show with weak ratings could make it up in DVD set sales. Also, great shows with weak ratings could become late bloomers.

Well, I haven't seen the Heroes finale yet but I was going to say like 24. Sure there are some leftovers at the end of a 24 season but if they ended the show at the end of any season it wouldn't be anything like what happened with Jericho and Invasion.

How could they tell what was a good show without using some kind of measure? Low ratings= low ad dollars so it's a business decision.

don't get me started on firefly... I never watched it when it was aired, but watched it on dvd.. and was wondering why the hell it was cancelled. After I got the back story, I was furious. Not that I should be wasting more time watching TV.... but still.

Jericho is awesome! I think their biggest mistake was taking that winter hiatus. :(

I don't think the ratings system they use is accurate.* I mean, when was the last time you knew someone who had one of those trackers installed on their TV? I only hear of certain people *cough* trailer trash *cough* who have these ratings trackers.

* Allow me to elaborate here. I meant "accurate" as in what the ATOT community would consider as a close representation of the type of demographics of said community. Most of us (I'm being optimistic here), are relatively educated, savvy, and "deeper" than your average American.

So of course we will tend to like certain shows--it's in our blood. On the other hand, take your average American--he/she basically watches TV for the latest craze (read: reality TV).

I'm afraid that things will continue to head this way.

I know seriously...why not give Jericho a 2nd season and NOT have a 3 month lay off mid season??
