there's the fact that Lucas, in addition to not directing, had

Huh. Funny how these things line up...

STAR WARS 3, SPOILER EMAIL CONTENTS:

The upcoming last Star Wars film will be called Star
Wars Episode 3: The Rise Of The Empire. The film will
focus on Anakins tragic decision to follow the dark
side and his part in the gradual extermination of the
Jedi order during the clone wars. Samuel L. Jacksons
character Mace Windu will be killed by Anakin in which
this scene should be the most eagerly anticipated
death in the entire series. At the end of the film,
there will be a climactic battle between Obi-Wan and
Anakin in which the evil Anakin is so badly wounded
that he has to wear the jet black mask and breathing
suit. Star Wars Episode 3: The Rise Of The Empire is
planned to be released on Thursday the 19th of May
2005.

Or maybe they have to wait for him to get some acting skills. :) That guy's almost as bad as Leo in Titanic -and just as ugly.

nik

Awww, come on. You know you thought he was suave when he was using his playa skills on Natalie! What was that line... There are a lot of soft things here on Naboo?

-MC

Anakin is a scumbag. He could have been using the force on her to have her all to his selfish, greedy self.

I KNOW THE FReaGIN answer!

When Obi Wan died it was because he was ready to. He actually disappeared before he died. He was in a sense struck down in battle, but he saw it coming and was allowing it. When Qui Gon died he was mid battle and not ready for it. None of the jedi in the colleseum were ready to die yet either.

Thats the answer, ask if you got any questions, Ill clarify better.

Like I said before, there needs to be a coup at Skywalker ranch and someine needs to tell Lucas to give up the reigns. At least make Episode III on par with The Empire Strikes Back, which in my opinion is the best in the series.

I've heard this explanation/theory or whatever before, and it's the one that I agree with. I might have been able to think of it when I first posted in this thread, but I'd just gotten out of bed and wasn't really awake yet.

Edit: Anakin also fits this theory. Once Luke "saved" him from the Dark Side at the end of ROTJ, I'm fairly certain he was technically no longer a Dark Lord of the Sith any longer. At that point, he was about to die, anyway, and was "at peace" with himself and life, etc.

Could be.

Another example of this is that in the original trilogy Obi-Wan says that Yoda was his master and now we know that it was infact Qui-Gon Ginn.

Another explanation for this (sorry, I couldn't buy your explanation Nik) is that Yoda taught classes for all the young Jedi. Remember in ATOC when all the little Jedi kids were deflecting bolts? Well, Yoda was their teacher. In Empire, Ben tells Luke to go to Dagobah where "you will learn from Yoda, the Jedi Master who taught me". The concept of master and apprentice (padawan) pairs is new to TPM and ATOC. So, I don't think this a hole or flaw in the plot.

One thing I'm curious about is what happens to the droids? I'm assuming they will get a memory wipe before being put into the service of the Rebelion or Bail Organa because they know too much.

No, because Qui Gon was also taught by Yoda. He didn't disappear. Good try, but my theory is legit, I gurantee.

Nik was just commenting on someone else's idea. Why single him out?

PM that to me, too. I'd like to see it. You know, often times, the only reason that people can accuse other people of something is if they are intimately knowledgable and familiar with what they're accusing other people of in the first place. ;)

Yeah, after reading this more closely, I am wondering to what you are referring to Cuda? Proof of this dorky Jedi question or that I'm full of BS?

Only my adoring fans know the answer to the latter and you, sir, have never been to a single fan club meeting!

this all reminds me that I should check the SW forums more often...lots of cool people here, but not many nuts like my friends and I...granted, I'm still like 3 books behind in the New Jedi Order series...

As for Exar Kun...it's not easy to explain him quickly, best to go grab the Dark Horse comics that show his background (when he was alive), and then yeah, his spirit is the one that's present in the books, that is entombed in the Massassi Temples on Yavin 4.

<---Loves SW ^_^
