no, the thread is about Jeb bush not being able to answer the question and his responses being irrelevant and laughable.

He doesn't have to explicitly say "I'm gonna use applewatch for healthcare, lololol"
Just bringing up the apple watch in a conversation about ObamaCare demonstrates that he's a complete tool.

Except that Apple pitched the watch for use in health care.

So we've proven he didn't say what is in the thread title and that using the watch in health care has already been cleared by the FDA.

What is the point of this thread?

There is no point to the thread.

The thread title is a complete lie and the resident libs are attempting to pile on out of shear stupidity.

It's paid by carriers and users of said carriers. YOU pay it, I don't, nor does everyone that pays taxes in this country. Don't want to pay the fee? Find a carrier/service that doesn't charge the fee to it's customers or don't use the service;)

It's paid by users dipshit.

Let's say everyone follows your plan and there is no more money for lifeline or safelink. Then what happens?

Why would there be no more money? I just got done telling you it's paid by both, the carriers and users. Take away the paying users and you still have the carriers. Are you really this stupid?

Just admit it, your original comment was stupid, you were called on it and you were proven wrong. Your bitch ass attempt at changing the subject to now talk about who pays for the USF is transparent.

What exactly was my original argument?

I've already proved you are clueless, ignorant and idiotic.

How funny, the Left goes full retard and takes a Republican's statement out of context, must be a day ending with the letter Y.
Right does the same thing here incessantly. That is the p&n game though, how it is played. Here are the rules = you do not make observations, attempt to engage in intelligent discussion of the day's events, or objectively assess events or statements. That's it, that's how easy it is to play. Do any of these things and the other contestants will ignore you/you miss your turn.

The objective is not to win the game, since it all boils down to the playing chess with a pigeon metaphor. It is simply to troll hard enough to effect the vitals of your opponents. To elicit emotional reactions through the intertubes. If either the rules or objectives are other than stated above. Well, almost no one here is following them.

Are you numbnuts not capable of reading? Nowhere did he say that a health care plan would be replaced by an apple watch. What he did say is that obamacare should be repealed and replaced by a "consumer driven" system (whatever that means). He talked about the capabilities of the apple watch as an example of a health care process more focused on managing your health rather than just treating diseases, and I agree 100 percent with him on that.

I notice the OP's link is to a Rachel Madow article, so this was a failed effort from the start.

Congrats! You just explained why everyone is making fun of jeb, you just aren't smart enough to get the humor;)

As you pointed out, jeb wants to repeal obamacare (a flawed but working system) and replace it with a unicorn. You yourself have no idea what a "consumer driven" solution is, that should have been your first indication that this guy is a joke. What's next from jeb? Will he start suggesting consumers simply go to webmd for self diagnostics now? It's one thing to say how technology will allow us to be smarter about health care but that's not what he was saying, well maybe it was but who knows. Like his brother, jeb appears to be inarticulate.

Unfortunately, just keeping track of the calories of the food you just stuffed into your mouth doesn't prevent disease, change the person's behavior, or manage the disease or the symptoms of the disease.

In essence, we should repeal broader access to health insurance with...something...because, well, just because.

Vincent Foster.

Also: Benghazi.

Consumer driven=not forced down our throats with no lube.

You idiocy in this thread has set records for stupidity. Your constant resorting to name calling shows how little you understand any of what the adults are discussing.

You are the epitome of a stupid democrat

Did you actually read that link before you posted it?

Prior to 2008, the program was only for discounted service. It was actually an $18 discount per month but that wasn't in the link. In 2009 the program was changed to give free cell service and a free phone (last I heard was 500 minutes and unlimited text).

So prior to Obama the program gave an $18 discount to needy people. With Obama it's a free cell phone, free minutes and free texts.

But please don't let facts get in the way of your ignorance. They never have before.

Holy crap! They gave away free phone service to poor people? Jesus must be rolling over in his grave over this.

A couple nights ago, lil rudeguy told me he was almost out of insulin. This was odd because he went through 3 vials in 3 weeks. Normally 3 vials lasts him 5-6 weeks. I connected his insulin pump to my laptop, downloaded the readings, then connected his blood sugar monitor to my laptop and downloaded that. I then went to his pump maker's website and uploaded the data. I then went to his doctor's website and sent a message to the doctor about the situation. By noon the next day I got an email back from the doctor saying they had increased his insulin RX and it had already been sent to the pharmacy.

In the past that would have been at least 2 office visits and many hours of blood sugar, carbohydrate and exercise logging. Now it was less than 5 minutes done while I was laying in bed watching TV. There is no reason why in the very near future that couldn't all have been done from a smart watch. Pump and meter send info to smart phone via app, watch interfaces with app to read data, watch sends email to doctor, watch would alert when RX is ready at pharmacy. This could literally happen tomorrow. The tech is there and ready.

The best thing about this thread is how the democrats are not capable of reading a simple article, let alone a simple quote. They also have no idea what technology already exists but feel the need to belittle people who speak of this technology.

Reality matters not to them.

Does Jeb Bush send his family to the Apple store instead of the doctor when they get sick? Or he just wants that for your family?

Thank you for proving my point.

Anything not involving hyperbole or lies is just not a conversation we should involve democrats in.

Question is WHY did his insulin usage increase so much. Underlying issue will need to be addressed.

Now addressing the OP:

The watch concept allows a patient to more closely monitor vital information rather than relying on visits to the MD. The MD is then more able to treat problems with known information in advance.

Example:
If one has medical issues that require blood work; then get the blood work done in advance; that way, the MD has the results when they see you. then they can process the information with you on the spot rather than waiting days/weeks to get the results back and call you back for an additional visit.

Just like a chart of medical issues can be prepared in advance for the MD; saves time.

insulin resistance changes. Its just a normal part of type 1. Nothing to be worried about.
