Yep, Illinois has a repub governor.
IL has been RULED by the Dems for decades. You can't blame the GOP governor for IL's problems, those problems have been decades in the making.

The GOP runs Illinois.Maybe, but the GOP isn't responsible for IL's problems. And the GOP can manage their money, so that's something.

Wisconsin used to be our intelligent brother to the north, now, corruption reins supreme...Illinois governance has been corrupt for decades, every Wisconsinite knows that.
Yea, let's just give up and let the Republicans take over, cause we're morally superior and won't take the big bucks. Ain't ever going to happen. You have to live in the world you are given, not some ideal that never existed.Hush, you're not supposed to say that. Democrats are the champions of the little guy, the defenders of the downtrodden, the glorious guardians of good. When they take buckets of corporate cash it's ok because they only take it from the nice company's that mouth all of the appropriate platitudes.

I'm not certain myself although I did see a guy like that one in the sundress at my local VA OPC.The F did I just watch?
I lived there from 1975 to 1980. I voted a straight Republican ticket. After 68, there was no way I was going to vote for the Dem machine. Well, Thompson ended up being indicted as well as some of the other candidates I voted for. Corrupt politics seems to be a way of life in that state and the populace seems to think this is fine. I asked people there all the time about the really petty but dangerous.payoffs for everything, you know health dept inspections, and things like that. It would be explained that this way it's really more a democratic (small chars) way to spread the wealth to the little guy. They are pathetic and deserve the pile of crap they live in.Yup.
You seem to have glossed over the issue at hand. Is it your position that the democrats don't take corporate money? Have you noticed how many millionaires there are in congress?Money? When did Dems enable more money in politics, particularly untraceable money? When was the last time the Dems raided the Treasury to give the money to the Rich? When were they Hell bent on screwing over innocent people because of their immigration status? When did they try to squeeze the life out of programs that help millions of Americans? When did they attack the institutions of the govt of the people? When did they refuse their constitutional duty to give a SCOTUS nominee a fair hearing? When did Dems gloat over giving anybody a buck fifty a week tax cut? I mean, whoever did that was the real champion of the people, huh?
This "They're just as bad!" routine is both tedious & dishonest.

At the heart of this particular problem is political cowardice. Not one of these politicians has the balls to tell the people that they need to pay for what they expect to get. Or dares risk the certain backlash to their careers if they did. What is the point of posting one sided statements like this that are obviously false? Lets be honest, no politician can manage their money. Republicans are dead set in cutting taxes to the bone without budget cuts, and Democrats are no fiscal hawks either. For ever red state that has fiscal problems, there is a blue state that has fiscal problems.

Pretty much everything you said has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I don't mind debating an issue with you, but you need to stay focused on the topic.
Interesting to see the Republicans cannibalize themselves, that's for sure. Precursor to the 2020 Presidential primary campaign where they'll attack Trump for granting citizenship to millions of DACA's.I must admit the commercial made me laugh.

(and we have no toll roads!).
Here in FL the state is putting in toll roads everywhere.Won't be true for long if your state legislature gets it's way.

I don't know if you've been to Orlando recently but you have to be very careful about what route you take or you will be forced onto one of their many fee producing roadways. I found out the hard way just a few months ago GPS be damned.Under long term contracts, no doubt. That's the GOP- beating the cash out of the little guy so that the Rich can profit more & pay less in taxes. Cuz it'll all trickle down, obviously.
I've never been to Florida but I know Florida Man.
