Microcenter has the D-Link DWL 500 11MBPS Wireless Card for $49.99 after $50.00 MIR.
This card is actually the DWL 650 PCMCIA Card with the desktop PCI adapter included.
Thus you can use this with your desktop or laptop.
Normally a PCMCIA card is $99.99 and the PCI adapter is ~$40.00, so you save $90.
I don't know if the card is any good, but its a great price.
Rebate info:
It is a manufacturer rebate, only good on purchases at Microcenter. Thus no PM possible.
One per household/address (watch out for Microcenter printing your name on the reciept in the B&M if you buy 2)
Anybody use this card before? Is it any good?
Edit:
I have this in my hands right now.
Question 1: Is this confirmed?
Answer: This is confirmed. There is a display with a sign advertising this, and it is also available online under networking adapters.
Question 2: Is this really detachable? I.e. is this two pieces (one PCMCIA, and one PCI to PCMCIA adapter)
Answer: Yes absolutely. I opened the box and inside are a DWL 650 wireless PCMCIA Card, and a PCI to PCMCIA adapter.
