Fuck. All my interviews from last week didn't go well. This whole car clusterfuck has really brought my A-game down a huge notch.![]()
Do you even have an A-game, or is a figment of your imagination? :hmm:

Decent odds tech company personnel would read AT.Probably because they've been reading this thread.
You'll never guess who I interviewed today! You know that rolling train wreck on AT? Fruit Loops boy? Yea, him! Holy shit! Those forum posts don't him justice. It's 10x worse in person. Unbelievable!

Well, if you were quality talent, you wouldn't have been fired. You're effectively a noob college graduate with no experience under your belt. When you have years of experience and documented achievements then yes, you can all an interview process like that BS. But that process sounds great to filter out incompetent new grads.
I've scoffed at interview processes with less effort involved than that but again, I have the resume to back me up and feel stuff like that is a complete waste of my time. You, on the other hand, don't.
Had a "technical" interview today. Mostly just spoke with an engineer for over an hour at a company.
He then tells me that the next step in the process is to do an 8-12 hour long coding assignment. (What in the actual fuck?) After that, there's a 45-min long phone interview about that project. And then maybe another phone interview (at this point, I kind of just ignored everything he said)... and then finally the onsite (4-6 interviews over 4-6 hours).
You'll never hire quality talent with that kind of interview process! Quality talent will NOT go through that. They will take the offer from another startup that is willing to interview them faster and with less bullshit.
EDIT: Also, I met a girl. But, that's another story. :awe: (And it has already made life complicated but it'll figure itself out soon enough)
2,000+ posts! We made it guys!
Lulz. It is spectacular how clueless you are. The better the company the more work they'll do to ensure that you're a good fit in methodology, quality, and pace (among other things) before making an offer. Anyone who *thinks* they're above a little bit of testing is missing the whole point.
Good companies fire quickly rather than putting candidates through 15+ hours of testing.
I guess that's why you're hunting again.
This thread still exists? Holy crap. Where's tridong living now? I haven't cared enough to keep up with this cluster fvck.
No they don't. It takes a lot more resources and time to hire someone and train them than it does to simply weed them out in interview(s).Not really true. Good companies fire quickly rather than putting candidates through 15+ hours of testing.

seriously... and it would take a real asshole company to get someone to quit their job after a brief interview, with the expectation that you're going to hire anyone and then fire the 99% who don't work out because it's somehow easier than a lengthy interview. No they don't. It takes a lot more resources and time to hire someone and train them than it does to simply weed them out in interview(s).
It really is funny how clueless you are. Straight out of college and you act like you know what you're talking about. LOL.
Phoenix.
Spoiler alert: it sucks.
I am appalled at OP's persistent lack of self awareness.
This thread is a joke without a punchline.
Well, he's looking for his replacement car in Phoenix, so I'm guessing that's where he is.I thought he was living in the "ghettos of San Jose".![]()

I mean, if I had a thread like this, at some point, I would legitimately look at myself and at least wonder if a change from within is needed at the slightest.
Not really true. Good companies fire quickly rather than putting candidates through 15+ hours of testing.
