I've been traveling for over a month now... make it stop

Understandable. Have yet to see a plow come down my street all year. We're left to clear it out with shovels and snowblowers if we want to get to work. And Michigan winters in general are pretty brutal. One of the reasons I don't live so close to lake michigan. Your lake effect snowfall is not something I typically want to deal with more than I already do.

No jobs there. I heard it from a good source.

It's one of the great ironies of this thread. The shit temp job I took a year and a half ago turned into a great job. I'm just waiting for our business to grow more in the Southwest so they can build an office in Phoenix. Maybe I'll run it...

All because I took a temp job that didn't pay well doing work I did not want to do.

if you want to be a developer, tech support is a bad place to start out

that said, if i couldnt find a developer job for 6 months i would probably take a tech support job

I read that as 'no jobs in Phoenix', not 'no developer jobs in Phoenix'. 😛

But yeah, I'm of no help for developer jobs.

His problem is probably videogames, to be honest.

He isn't living in the real world. Neither are many many many more 20 year olds.

Sometimes you gotta struggle and its not a pretty sight to behold but its better than just sitting around doing nothing because thats how you end up completely broke.

Yea...I keep my mouth shut when people post "but that won't help you get into developing". I grew up being taught that I wasn't entitled to anything. I had to work for what I wanted. You work hard, learn everything you can, then move up when you can. This shit of thinking employers are going to be handing out jobs to people with no experience makes me laugh. Then saying you watch youtube videos for experience really cracks me up.

But maybe that is the way the world works now? Maybe you sit on your ass until someone hands you what you want. I don't know. But its not the world I live in.

Also, please tell me the OP isn't getting public assistance right now.
