I've been traveling for over a month now... make it stop

lol

Too bad he has to spend it all on rock salt and fuel for his snowblower.

Canada sucks!

Gas is cheap here now, like 99cents per litre! I rarely even use salt. Was laughing at the news coverage on NYC, people were buying these HUGE bags of salt. :awe: What are you going to do with that, put it on top of the snow and hope it somehow shovels itself? :awe:

So does the OP have a job yet?

lol

I buy a bag to keep by the door. One bag lasts forever since I only put it on the steps.

Friday and it's payday!

This is now the official pay day thread. Post when you get paid, and how much.

I got paid $1,758 today.

It's end of month though, that means city taxes come out. I wont be seeing much of that money for very long. 😛

my paycheck has been the same since i started working

every raise i ever got i just put into my 401k, both before tax and after tax

not sure what it would be if i didn't save it for retirement... i dont even spend what i keep anyway, so no point in letting myself even have it

Good job Trident. This proves the naysayers in the thread wrong. You got to focus on what you want, and get it. The rules of the job market have changed a lot... It's pretty impressive that you got an FB interview despite not being near the bay. Just be careful: if you get an offer they will try to shortchange you because they think you're an out-of-towner. Stick to your guns about the $$ but don't be too greedy.

I'll do the conversion for the Canuckleheads: there are almost 4 liters in a gallon. (3.78541). That would be $3.74 per gallon down here. That's twice what many people are paying. Thus, perhaps relatively cheap for you locally, but still quite expensive.

Yep, our gas here is f'n ridiculous. Riding down into the states is always fun not only for the fun roads, but for the cheap gas while down there.

Reminds me of a situation in Singapore where the gas there is expensive, but across the bridge into Malaysia is not. So, the Singaporeans would drive into Malaysia to fill up and drive back, until the Singapore government created a rule that all cars leaving Singapore have to have at least 3/4 of their tank full. LOL!

Here's to hoping the Canyucks implement the same rule. :awe:
